 + -1 moreThe crew never showed on Monday and, despite a call to Mr. Hellman on Tuesday requesting that they finish before we put up the drywall, they didn't do so. Since that time, late November, no work has been done and Mr. Hellman has not returned most of our phone calls and emails requesting a refund of the bulk of our $2,700 deposit. When he has provided a time for returning our money those days come and go and no check is delivered. It's now January 16th, '08, almost 2 months since we made a deposit. We feel we are owed over $2,000 for work not performed and we have gone ahead and done the work ourselves.
Description of Work: We have been remodeling our family room and contacted Digital Interiors to review our plans for installation of a home theater system including surround sound in the ceiling and to install conduit and pull cables, hook up components and program the remote. Todd Hellman, the proprietor, made time to stop by and look at our situation a couple of times on very short notice (since we were about to put up the drywall) during a very busy time for him, the week of Thanksgiving. On November 20th, 2007, we gave him 50% down (out of a $5,400 job) and shortly thereafter he had a couple of gentleman do some of the work which they squeezed into an evening in their schedule. They simply pulled some cable and put some conduit in place. No termination of the cables was done and the work accomplished was rough and preliminary in nature. They said they'd be back on Monday, about 3 days later, to complete the job.
