Sometimes we can get in fairly quickly. Our cat is elderly, so they take good care of her. It's generally pretty easy to get in and see them, they're always really nice there. They focus on cats and little creatures, not just dogs. I don't think any dogs go there. They specialize in cats, they're very good with cats, but thy have other animals that go there. I thought they were ridiculously expensive.

They were really sweet. They gave us a little card with the cat paw print. It was hard because the cat died of cancer. They were really nice through the whole experience. They were really sensitive to a creature that was part of our family. They took care of her on her last moments, when she was suffering.

My elderly kitty with multiple health concerns had an abcess rupture.  They got him in promptly and treated him with care and compassion.  He required an overnight stay, and I knew he was in good hands.  They kept me updated by phone.  My cat has been seeing Dr. Couture at this office for about 15 years, and I am always happy to give the practice referrals and positive reviews.  Dr. Couture is knowledgable, professional, personable, and I trust her judgement.  I wouldn't bring my cat anywhere else.  As the practice name implies, they do not treat dogs, but specialize in cats, small animals & exotics.  This specialized knowledge has helped my special-needs kitty live to be 19 years old, and he's going strong!  I want to make clear that, while I gave a B for punctuality because sometimes they do run a little behind, I can always be sure that we will receive the time and attention we need and never feel rushed, so any time spent waiting is well worth it.

The staff and Dr. Couture were very nice. After the exam, they gave me time to consider the options and then time with my pet before euthanasia. I was surprised to get a sympathy note from the Vet a couple days later. I thought that was very nice of Dr. Couture. This was my first time at Cats and Critters. I needed to see a Vet for my hamster and my regular vet does not treat small animals and exotics. I may even switch to them for my cat's veterinary care based on this visit.

They had to use anesthesia on my cat to do it. I will use them again in the future.

My cat started exhibiting serious symptoms in a very short amount of time. They got him in right away did all the tests they could do and unfortunately came back with bad news. He had to be put down. At all times, they were empathetic to my needs and feelings. It's very obvious that they do not take this lightly.
I love Cats and Critters. I've had 4 different cats that have been treated there. Dr Couture, the techs and and the office staff are all very concerned about the animals' welfare and are always extremely pleasant to the people involved as well! This is just one example, but every time I've ever taken a pet there, they always exhibit the same wonderful attitudes and behave in a manner that shows that they really do care about animals. I've moved pretty far away from the office but still go back there because I've never found a vet and staff that was as good to my pets as they are.

I dropped Pansy off at 9 am, and she was ready for pickup at 2:00 p.m. She was lion cut, happy and calm, and I was surprised that the price was so low for a full grooming and senior exam. I think they didn't have to tranquilize Pansy for the procedure. It costs more if they do, which is necessary for some of my more cranky kitties.

I *LOVE* Cats and Critters. They remember and care about all my cats. After testing, or whenever I have a question, I get a call back from one of the vets, Dr. Hach or Dr Couture, explaining the results and my options. The vets have frequently done research in response to one of my questions.

I have had vets in the past, at other offices, who routinely conveyed diagnoses and treatment decisions through their vet techs or receptionists, and if I had another question, it then had to be conveyed back through the tech/receptionist, to the vet, and back again. That was irritating as h***, and I fired that vet.

I have NEVER had that problem with Cats and Critters. The vets take a personal interest in my cats, both my forever-cats and my foster cats, and I never have to beg for the vet's time or attention. They often call, unprompted, just to follow up on how my kitties are doing. They *really care* about my cats. I cannot speak highly enough about them.

Their prices for grooming/shaving my Persians are extremely reasonable. When I lived in Brooklyn, the charge at a regular grooming shop was $75 for a lion cut or a bath, blow-dry and comb-out. I think at Cand C it's a little less than that, and this is at a VET's office, which I love. They treat my Persians' need for grooming as a health issue, which I really appreciate because it is true. If Persians get matted, they can get diarrhea (from consuming the fur they kick-up when scratching) or they can get skin infections and lesions.

Also, the vets there are highly progressive and enlightened. They support raw-diet for cats and get it about species-appropriate nutrition. They are just a perfect fit for us. I LOVE THEM!!!!

We began going to Cats and Critters because we could walk there from our old apt. Now we have moved but we will always continue to stay with them. The Dr's as well as the vet tec's and counter help are always very kind, professional and caring to the animals (and people). They almost always bring out warmed babyfood chicken or something if my cats are antsy to help them relax. They are so kind and thoughtful and very very good at what they do. I also thnk that the lack of barking dogs helps to keep the environment a little less stressful for the smaller animals. Our last visit was an annual exam for Jack (5 yr old) cat. No immunizations. We paid about $100 but that also included a large bag of special food. I would think the visit itself was probably more like $75. I hear that's expensive, but I think it's worth it. Love them! One time when Jack had more elaborate work done (poor guy had a blockage) They called later in the day to follow up and see how he was feeling. Actually anytime either of our cats have gone in for somethign other then an annual routine visit they always call to see how they're feeling later in the day or the next day. Just wonderful! and we hardly every have to wait in the waiting room or exam room for any significant amount of time. I can't recommend them enough.

The vets and staff were all great with the cats. After I had the one cat in fro teeth cleaning they called to follow up to see how she was doing. The other cat who was having issues with diahrea, the vet would call every couple of days to see if he was getting better on the special diet they put him on. He eventually did improve, but it took awhile, and now when I go in to get new food the staff always asks how he is doing.

Dr. Couture, Victoria, and the rest of the staff did an amazing and professional job for the actual work and the care of our cat afterward. I would definitely recommend them!

LOVE Dr. Hawk and everyone in the office. They treat both our cats with such love and care. They once even gave them wet cat food to entertain one of them while they were examined. When I brought Jack in for an issue, they called the next day to check on him and see how he's feeling. absolutely love them! also, it's nice for us because we have 2 cats. Since they're are no dogs there (cats and smaller) it is less stressful for them. I hear that they are a bit pricey, but we love them. Even tho we moved out of the neighborhood, we'll continue to use them forever more. Highly recommend them.

Cats and Critters has been our vet for a while. Earlier this year, one of our cats developed a strange growth on his foot. After a few rounds of testing it was believed to be a pre-cancerous growth. We were faced with trying to amputate the toe and risk not getting clean margins or amputate his fore-leg. After consulting with a number of people, Dr Couture recommended only taking the toe (she ended up having to remove an adjoining toe to be sure). Our cat is doing quite well, and as it turned out, after further testing the growth turned out not to be cancerous. The staff at Cats and Critters were excellent and very supportive during this difficult time.

The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. The veterinarians are caring, personable and brilliant! When one of our cats got hit by a car we were told to bring him right in and he was cared for immediately. The vets also care for birds and small animals (hamsters, rabbits, etc.) and it is always an enjoyable experience to make a visit.
