Terrible! We wanted a comprehensive service. Spring cleanup, mulching beds, weeding, edging, lawn treatments, hedge trimming, fall cleanup. Everything except lawn mowing (which they don't do). The price was high, but I signed up so that everything would be taken care of. It seemed like every few weeks we would run into something that "wasn't in the contract, but they would be happy to do for an additional cost". Right now I'm looking out at my lawn full of leaves. Apparently, raking/blowing the leaves isn't included in the "fall cleanup". But they will be happy to do it for another $500 (on top of the $5,000 I'm already paying for "comprehensive service"). They never answer the phone, and don't return phone calls. One department doesn't speak to the other. So we got a call from the lawn treatment team telling us they can't treat the lawn until the leaves are removed, so we called to ask when the leaves will be removed from the lawn. They gave us a date, but no one showed up. We call several times over the course of several weeks, and finally get a team out, but they end up cleaning only the beds, not the lawn. When we ask why we were told they would be cleaning the lawn, we get the run around. The treatment team often showed up on rainy days, so I doubt the lawn got much fertilizer. We told them we wanted some new rhododendrons (happy to pay extra for this, of course), and they never asked me what type of rhododendrons to plant. Instead one day I just found we had new bushes, which weren't what I had in mind (they have small leaves instead of the large leaf ones, and I have no idea what color flowers. I guess I'll find out next spring). They left no instructions for care of the new bushes. My lawn has NEVER looked worse. They filled some low spots on the lawn with topsoil (again, an extra charge for that even though it was just a few spots), and we ended up with an infestation of nutsedge. We had never had nutsedge before, so I'm pretty sure it came in with their topsoil. They were happy to charge me extra to treat it for nutsedge (I ended up doing it myself). I have seldom had such a horrible experience with a service provider.

I hired Broccolo to do some landscaping in my front yard last fall, and among the plants that I purchased were 2 compact golden hinoki cypress. The hinoki's did not make through the winter and died. I have been calling to get some response as to a replacement or credit and have not received any return calls. I can't believe that this company can't live up to their agreement of replacing the dead trees or giving me credit for them.

High Price, Low Quality--We've had our lawn aerated by Broccolo Lawn & Tree Care each of the last two springs. The first time the results were consistent with those when we've had other firms do it and when I've done it myself, though the price was high. This spring the price was higher, but the results were sub-par. There were relatively few holes in the lawn and they weren't nearly as deep as in the past. Many were only as deep as my finger nail. In contrast to the past when you could readily tell that the lawn had been aerated, you really had to look carefully to see that the work had been done. I called to let them know, in part because I thought they'd like to know that the work their subcontractor had done wasn't satisfactory and to let them know that I wasn't thrilled with the job, especially for the price. Interestingly, at no time did anyone say "thank you for letting us know how the subcontractor is performing" or "we're sorry you weren't happy with the quality of the job." Instead, the implication was that I didn't know what I was talking about (though I've aerated the lawn myself as recently as last fall and have had others do it as well for years) or that, for some reason, I wasn't being honest. They did send an inspector out a week later (the same day the invoice arrived) who, unsurprisingly, stated that the work had been done correctly. They compounded a poor quality job with poor quality customer service and we won't be considering them for any larger jobs.

We were told it would take 3 weeks from the time we signed out contract. It took almost 6 weeks with minimal communication from the company. When they did finally come to install the plants we did not get what we paid for. We were supposed to get 8 of one type of plant and only got 2. We having been trying to get this resolved with the company now.

There were still a lot of weeds that I had to run around and do stuff about. They were more pricey. It included a payment for 535 to prepay for the year. They come when he say they are going to come. They could have done a better job with the weeds and maybe a better fertilizer. The grass is pretty spotty.

as above.  When I got home from work all was done to my complete satisfaction, and except for the work done, you would never know a crew had been there. Most excellent.

They did great. Responsive, prompt, and the result was beautiful.
Most recently I purchased top soil and mulch from them, as I have in several previous years. Usually, the service is great. This year, we had several holdups that I can attribute to the woman taking the order. First, we scheduled a specific delivery date. When nothing arrived, I called to ask about the status and was told "Oh, we never heard back so we cancelled the order." Well, I was not asked to call back. OK, so we arranged for a delivery later that day. Three hours after the agreed time, I called and was told essentially that the driver would get to it when he could. It did arrive that day and the driver was wonderful. I don't think this is reflective of Broccolo overall, but that order taker/dispatcher is a real weak spot in their otherwise good customer service.

I used them for the first time in 2013, and I had them do some hardscape and some landscape planting. Their warranty is very good, because I lost a couple of trees that they planted, and they came out and did deep root fertilization last fall, and they extended their warranty through September 2015. Subsequently the trees did die, and they are going to replace them for me this year. In the fall of 2013 they did a front walk way, they did a paved walkway and they built a pergola in the back. They enclosed the area around the utilities, and the air condition, and they closed it with bricks. They do good work. The workers are very friendly, and very professional. They are here when they say they are going to come. They let you know when they are going to be here. I recommend them highly. They were recommended to me by a person I work with.

No complaints.  The company treated the lawn as requested.  I guess we'll begin to see in the Spring if the treatments are working well.  The person who came out was very thorough and helpful.

I was contacted by Diane from Broccolo and she apologized for the communication problem and was eager to rectify the situation. She came to my property to make sure work was completed to my liking and expectations.

The bushes were removed and trimmed as requested.  After originally being told it would be 3 weeks before they could come out, I received a call that they could fit us in considerably sooner.  This is most appreciated.
The odd quirk was that they requested a 50% payment after sending us a quote.  The check my wife sent in was deposited before the work was done, and we have not received a bill yet for the balance.
The online appointment/quote scheduling tool on there web site did not work for us, but after I called them directly getting an estimate and scheduling the work took a few days at each step in the process but it all worked out.
So the scheduling process and the billing process were a little rocky but the work itself was well done.

We are very happy. We spend anywhere from $100 to $150 a month, depending on what they're doing. The last visit was about $300. I would recommend them.
