Most recently I purchased top soil and mulch from them, as I have in several previous years. Usually, the service is great. This year, we had several holdups that I can attribute to the woman taking the order. First, we scheduled a specific delivery date. When nothing arrived, I called to ask about the status and was told "Oh, we never heard back so we cancelled the order." Well, I was not asked to call back. OK, so we arranged for a delivery later that day. Three hours after the agreed time, I called and was told essentially that the driver would get to it when he could. It did arrive that day and the driver was wonderful. I don't think this is reflective of Broccolo overall, but that order taker/dispatcher is a real weak spot in their otherwise good customer service.
The odd quirk was that they requested a 50% payment after sending us a quote. The check my wife sent in was deposited before the work was done, and we have not received a bill yet for the balance.
The online appointment/quote scheduling tool on there web site did not work for us, but after I called them directly getting an estimate and scheduling the work took a few days at each step in the process but it all worked out.
So the scheduling process and the billing process were a little rocky but the work itself was well done.
