BENFANTE APPLIANCE SERVICE

Since my battery was not holding a charge, I took my shaver to Benfante. The counter person, who I assume was the owner, was very brusk and snapped orders while I gave him a $10 deposit on a $35 service. He told me to come back in two days. I came back in ten days (it's a long trip for me). He tossed the shaver on the counter and said "the motors shot---you let it get wet!" When I protested that it's a wet or dry shaver" (in front of other customers), he snapped back "READ YOUR MANUAL!". Disgusted, I grabbed the shaver and started out the door when he yelled "give me the paper work!" I complied and left somewhat steamed at being treated as a wayward child rather than a customer. And, the important part---he was wrong. I did read the manual when I got home and, as I told him, it can be used wet or dry and I have always used it consistent with the instructions in the manual. There is no way I will ever use this service again.

When I brought in my Philip's electric shaver in for repair I asked him what was wrong with it, and if he knew which parts he will be replacing. He started to scream, yell, and shout like a madman, accusing me of stealing his work(!) by wanting to know such details. What the heck is wrong with that guy??? He started to rant about "you people" taking "our jobs" away. What you people? And why would I even want his job? Needless to say, I was steaming mad, turned around, told him I will never come back here and left. This was very upsetting to me, since I had another small appliance fixed there not even 6 months earlier.
