Benedict Plumbing Rochester Rooter

We use Benedict for all our plumbing needs.  We have a few rental properties (all from the early 1900s) and have to call them periodically for one thing or another.   They are always responsive and professional, we've never had to call them twice for the same problem (although in real life that can happen) and their prices are fair. Michele works in the office and is wonderful to deal with, even when they are up to their necks in frozen water lines and assorted weather related emergencies!

Showed up when they said they would. Prices were reasonable and they did a good job.

It was a terrible experience, and I have no faith in their abilities at all. They didn't properly tighten a bolt on the faucet, and water ended up pouring through our living room ceiling late in the evening. We had the same plumber return to address the leak, but it seemed as though he wasn't entirely up to the task. Furthermore, the part he installed was supposed to have a lifespan of 35 years, but it only lasted for one. Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend them.

Had a leaky faucet in the kitchen. They showed up right on time and were able to diagnose the problem quickly. When they indicated the faucet had to be replaced I got nervous as I had priced out the faucet (Moen) on line and it was expensive. I was very pleasantly surprised when they quoted $350.00 which way below what I was expecting. Very quick, profession and left the kitchen cleaner than when they got there. I've had 2 experiences with this company and both times was very impressed.

The office staff answered my call directly and was able to schedule the first visit quickly. (No call backs.)

Overall, very professional. They were punctual and George did a good job explaining what he found, what he tried, and what he recommended. George and Chaz were considerate of my house (used drop clothes, removed shoes, kept water off the floor). They refrained from swearing -- though it probably was merited. They used care in parking their trucks in the driveway.

The items they installed looked good and were watertight.

I was shocked at the price quotes -- $800 for the drain line replacement, $75 for the supply line replacement -- but I have no basis for comparison. The job required two plumbers, each with a vehicle, and lasted about half a day. No surprises on the pricing when it came time to bill me. They did not bill me for the first visit which lasted an hour, not counting travel time.

I love those guys. They replaced the faucets in all the rooms and also replaced the toilets in both the bathrooms. They are usually out here once a year for something or the other. We spent a couple of hundred dollars on the last job. They even dug up our lawn one time, to figure out the drainage for the gutters. Over the last 20 years, I would say that they have been here once a year for something. They are the first people I call. We have never been cheated by time or overpriced. If they are going to be late the call and they are very thorough. There was major work with the sump pump and they we going to be late by a day, but they called and let me know, so I knew that they were not coming.

Benedict Plumbing sent two plumbers to do all of the work. They were prompt, clean, and did high quality work. They arrived on time and worked efficiently on both days.
