"Hi [Member Name Removed], Thank you so much for the wonderful review. Our team is very happy to hear that your happy with the end result of your project. If you send us a picture of the circular plate, I would be happy to address this with our owner and see what we can do to resolve it."
Update:
In response to Michael Marciano?s reply: Tape: While Michael claims to use high grade tape, careful review of other comments shows others with the same complaint of paint damage due to his taping. In our case, the damage was around the window in an adjacent room that had not been recently painted hence the excuse that the area was moist and/or freshly painted so the pain should not have lifted. While Michael says that he would have addressed the damage, the options are limited short of repainting the window trim. Poor caulking: My wife was not happy with the work. As for phenomenal work, I and the three other contractors on site would disagree. Application: We had started the bathroom renovation before the tub was refinished. That is true. However, the only work which had been done was painting and tile removal adjacent the tub. Nothing else was done until after the tub refinishing was done. I take particular issue with the fact that a) Michael blames the ?construction? on the dust and b) that he did not warn of the risk of dust getting in the coating. If this was a possibility, it was his responsibility to explain this and suggest the tub be finished at a later time. Textured floor: Regardless of Michael?s opinion, the texture was far more course than anything I would want in a child?s tub. Buffing: The buffing was a brief wet sand and polishing with carnuba wax. Applying wax does not constitute buffing. Carnuba wax does not contain an abrasive and will do nothing other than add a shine and hide imperfections. Caulk: Although Michael net admits to using a razor to remove the caulk, at the time he said he could not use tools because of the fresh application of epoxy. Also, he now says that the ?nicks (see photo) would have been visible but at the time, he told me he was finished and didn?t say anything about these areas until I pointed them out. I never told Michael that my contractor would be able to cover these areas with caulk. In fact I?m certain they could not be covered. And, his fingers looked absolutely fine. Michael did respond but was harping about the 80+ leads he got from the home show and how busy he was. My wife did not say that she would be happy with the damaged areas touched up. She did not think the tub was adequately smooth and did not think the non-slip surface was acceptable. I have lost complete faith in Michael. 1) When I initially told Mike about my concerns he seemed in disbelief because he had ?looked over the work? on the smart phone photos sent to him by his employee. 2) It is his professional responsibility to advise us that there was a risk of dust settling in the finish because of the ongoing ?construction? 3) It was his professional responsibility to advise us that removing the caulk could damage the epoxy finish 4) When he tried to pass off the job as done and didn?t point out the damage that had been done by removing the caulk. or replace the other companies work, I quickly awarded him the contract.
Michael and his team are professional, personable, knowledgeable, skilled, communicative, timely, and about everything else I could possibly want in a contractor. The quality of the work was excellent. Due to a flaw in the tub (not to work) some rework was required, and they responded quickly to return to do it. I highly recommend "Bathtub Made New" for reglazing work and will use them in the future myself. I also recommend having older ceramic tubs reglazed him himrather than replaced or overlaid with liners.
