 + -1 moreVery well. She was very knowledgeable, explained what it might cost if certain things happened, but was able to fix it quickly in my home for a reasonable cost. I will call them again if I need to service this clock, which was built by my father and means a lot to me. Hearing it chime again brings back memories of him.

 + -1 moreThe clock worked perfectly after the cleaning last fall. I thought I might have broken it after the clock was moved and the pendulum kept stopping. I took the clock in to the shop and she made a minor repair to the wood holding in the glass and set the pendulum for me. I left the clock there for a few hours to see if the pendulum would keep going. I picked it up later and she showed me how to make sure the pendulum was properly placed at no charge. Now my clock is working perfectly!
Description of Work: Cleaned a New England Pendulum clock inherited from my father last fall.

ADOLPH BAKER CLOCK REPAIR offers the following services: Clock and clock work mechanism repairs, including some music boxes. On Mondays and Tuesdays,we do house calls for floor clocks and other large clocks. Preparation of floor clocks for shipping. Local moves of most floor clocks. Cleaning of clock case inside and out including minor touch up of finish.
Case restoration is not done, but do have a respected woodworker that we recommend. We do not do appraisals. We do not buy and sell clocks, except for "basket cases" that are only good for parts.
