Absolute Construction is owner operated in Irondequoit, NY. I started doing electrical work out of high school and always loved working with my hands. I moved onto larger companies where it was more like an assembly line. I didn't have the one-on-one customer interaction I enjoyed. So in 2006 I started a business helping build and design projects throughout Rochester. We Specialize in Remodeling and building custom Kitchen and Bathrooms. We also specialize in electrical work, we can offer services and ideas the average contractor may ignore or leave out. Absolute Construction is looking for customers that want QUALITY work done for a reasonable rate. We hope to work with you on your next project!

We were so fortunate to go with Absolute Construction for our kitchen renovation. From our first meeting with Steve and throughout the project was a positive experience. Steve was easy to work with, and had a positive attitude. He and his assistant Nate were meticulous with every detail. Our kitchen looks amazing; we're very pleased. We won't hesitate to hire them again, and highly recommend Absolute Construction. If you have a remodeling project, give them a try; you won't be disappointed.

Steve was a 1 man show and did an amazing job! We had a pipe burst back in January and because of COVID we have been unable to find anyone to repair the damage which spanned across 3 rooms. Steve had to reschedule us initially, however, he was professional and prompt with finding time to make the repairs. He set expectations and exceeded everything we could have hoped for - AND we don't have an ugly hole in our ceiling in 3 rooms anymore. 100% recommend and will be using him in the future!

Well let's start with we were told we had to gather all materials ourselves. We didn't mind getting the materials to save a some money (tube, tile,drywall, cement board, screws, thin set, etc.). But then one of the employees promised us that to finish the job he would pick up the extra tile (we are talking about 23 bull nose tile) as we were going out of town. This was not done. Not only that, but this employee then claimed to have never said he would pick up the extra materials needed. The next problem is we were quoted a price of $900.00 to install new tub and tile. This was labor only. We purchased all materials. Then they came back with a final bill that was almost double the original estimate. That was a problem . My husband owns his own landscape co. He does not make promises nor does he make customers buy their own materials or do any work without customer approval. NOW, we have a leak because this person did not caulk the tub in areas necessary. They grouted these areas. Now the grout is coming out of the joints and we have water leaking behind the tub and onto the floor. We feel totally let down. Absolute Construction is an absolute joke! We should have known better when we had to get all the materials and it was taking longer to finish the job than was quoted to us (perhaps that was partially due to one of the employees frequent smoke breaks). "I was very sad to see this , knowing customers are allways right and there is 2 sides to every story I believe [Member Name Removed] is trying to make it sound like we just started doing this. Having a A rating and being in business since 2006 we really have never encountered this. We were hired to do framing of walls and drywall hanging and finishing and patching setting the tub and tiling and grouting When we started the scope of job changed this is why the price change I spoke with [Member Name Removed] about the extra work and he said he understands it will be more money he never asked me to give him a price Extra work was installing a nichie that was to be tiled and he wanted us to use 1/16 spacers for a self spacing subway tile which that alone doubles the length of the job also the wall was just a return wall that turned into a small closet area Customer [Member Name Removed] cuter explained to me he would have all the materials on site when he showed me the project his reasoning was it would save time , we have never had a problem getting materials I prefer to pick them up because usually customers will pick up wrong materials because they don’t know. Apparently my employee told [Member Name Removed] who I never talked to , that he would pick up the materials I don’t know because I wasn’t there for that conversation, I do believe it was a miscommunication so not sure why the urgency to rush because house was empty and needed painting in every room . When it was time to get paid I had the invoice in front of [Member Name Removed] and [Member Name Removed] they asked why the price difference I had it itemized to what we did and [Member Name Removed] didn’t want to pay I offered to take 400 off the bill because of the miscommunication [Member Name Removed] told [Member Name Removed] to write me the full amount of the bill . When I saw the review I reached out to [Member Name Removed] to see if I could fix any issues he had it’[Member Information Removed] very common for grout to crack it’[Member Information Removed] a masonry product sometimes needs a touch up which I would still be happy to do I do feel we gave them a quality job and feel bad that they are not satisfied Steve Giliberti Owner/operator"

Very happy with my experience with Absolute Construction from quote to work being done. I was kept in the loop with an issues and they were prompt in answering any of my questions or concerns. They were respectful of my home while doing the work: covering the floors, cleaning up and repairing any damages. The finished product speaks for its self- quality work and would recommend.

Steve and Chris did an incredible job with our renovations. Steve was there everyday and he did most of the work himself. The only exception was the plumbing, which he outsourced to a plumber he works very closely with on all his jobs. Even then, he is there on-site the whole time. Chris & Steve are very skilled carpenters, and Steve is a former union electrician, so they can handle everything you may need. Steve showed up at exactly the agreed upon time each and every day, and worked hard until the job was complete. If he ever had to meet someone to quote a job, he told us at least a day in advance and it never impacted our project. We really appreciated having him there each morning to check-in on the project, and discuss any concerns we had (of which there were almost none). He stayed on schedule, even working to meet an aggressive timeline for the installation of our counters set by the kitchen designer. Steve and Chris were able to renovate our entire kitchen, full bath (including a tub install), half-bath, move a closet, drywall a room with wood panelling, and install trim throughout our house in about 3.5 weeks. We liked his work so much, we ended up adding three rounds of change orders to include more work we wanted to have done to the house. Steve was very clear about the cost of any additional work we asked for, and he broke everything down by time and materials. In the spaces where they were working, Steve laid down cardboard or ram board floor covering to protect our hardwood floors. Each evening they made sure to clean before they left, and in general Steve kept his worksite extremely organized, which we greatly appreciated. I strongly recommend Absolute Construction for your next project. They came to us highly recommended and we are very happy with our home.

A kitchen remodel is probably one of the toughest jobs in your home for most own owners, and Steve and his team were outstanding! They really made the project feel so much less stressful and are well educated in what they do, and....we love our kitchen. We would hire them again for sure.

Andrew showed up on time. He was very knowledgeable about doors and helped me figure out the best way to have the door open. He quickly and efficiently installed it, and it looks great. He cleaned up after himself including sweeping the floor.

After calling 3 different handymen recommended to me, and having NONE respond, I was discouraged. When I called Absolute, they responded right away, made an appointment to give an estimate within days. They did the job promptly, doing the highest quality work for a very reasonable price. Steve and his small crew did a great job! Here are the things I liked about it. They started the job and ended the job when they said they would. They showed up every day. They did their best to clean up at the end of each day. As hard as it is to share your home with other people, they were respectful and pleasant and considerate. We love our new bathroom.

Steve and his crew did an amazing job installing a new entry door between my attached garage and house. Being a pretty handy person myself I couldn’t have been more pleased with the work that they did. They were able to re-use the interior trim and install brand new trim on the exterior to finish up the flawless install of the entry door. They even added an extension jam to make everything tie together very nicely. They show the dedication of their work in their craftsmanship. Thank you steve and crew for your work, I will be calling again very soon as I already have more projects on the mind. Two thumbs up!!!
