Great service. Fixed the oven problem. Prompt same day service. Ask for Kevin - second time I called Raynor for their services and Kevin came both times. Highly recommend. Surprised there are bad reviews here but I guess people who are very satisfied dont bother to take the time to write reviews. Pricing was very reasonable.

Ah man, I wish I read these reviews before I had one of THE worst service experiences in my life! Joe, the owner, yelled at me and hung up the phone because I couldn’t find the model number. Do NOT use Joe. Why are they still in business? Three words: call someone else! Wow.

Oh my lord what a terrible experience. These people are truly insane. They have been 8 days delayed with their installation. I called them every day to get an update to be told that they'd call me back to confirm when the new date was. On the last call (frankly very polite for a company that is 8 days late and is not even returning calls), the guy says: OK, we are taking you off our schedule. Truly an insanely bad service, the worst people. Don't get fooled (the receptionist is the only one any nice, but she won't even return your call). I paid for nothing. They belong in foreclosure.

Mr. Raynor was possibly the most unpleasant person I've ever met. The moment he looked at my broken built-in GE Profile microwave/convection oven, he said "There's nothing I can do with this. It's out of warranty. It's 13 years old. They don't even make parts for this anymore." (He also initially said he couldn't repair my stovetop, a secondary reason for the visit). I assume he could have told me he couldn't repair the microwave if he had just called to ask me for the model number before he showed up and charged $179 for the service call. When I said that it didn't seem correct to charge me that much for an appointment that was pointless because he couldn't work on that model, he blamed ME for only giving them the make/model of the microwave, and not giving the actual model number when I initially made the appointment. Knowing that I was frustrated, Mr. Raynor had several options on what to say to me, a repeat customer. He could have said: (1) I'm sorry, we won't charge you; OR (2) We need to charge you anyway, but you have the right to dispute the charge; OR (3) We can lower the charge because of the misunderstanding, OR (4) Don't' worry because that charge will fully offset any costs for repairs to your other appliances. Instead, he said, "You're a piece of sh-t. F-ck you."

I joined Angie's list just to make sure that NO ONE gets treated like I was. This is the rudest most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. I was hung up on when I dared to ask when I should expect my appliance to be fixed.! Don't use them.

Our refrigerator broke and we left a message on the company's voice mail.  A man responded to our call that same evening.   The conversation started out okay, but then when he felt I was being too wordy in my answers, he interrupted me and said he wasn't interested in any extra information.  I started to respond that I was about to answer his question, but he suddenly hung up on me.  Another reviewer also mentioned he'd hung up on them.  Sounds like the same guy I spoke to.

I called on a Wednesday and was given a Saturday appointment. I received a call the morning of the appointment giving me a three hour time frame. Technician showed up within the stated time frame and replaced the belt on the dryer.

No kidding -- I had 2 ice cube makers go bad in 1 month so I was able to compare the service and cost in Queens NY vs Suffolk County NY. This reviews Raynor in Suffolk.
When the repairman arrived I described the problem - the ice cube maker in my Maytag refrigerator was putting water into the ice cube bin forming a sheet of ice. The repairman looked into the freezer drawer, complained that the ice cube maker was too low to the floor so he couldn't examine it, and then called the office. He returned from the call and told me the water pump needed to be replaced and he did that. The result was the new pump put even more water into the ice cube bin with greater force, you can hear it swooshing in the next room, and it forms an even bigger sheet of ice.
I called right away for them to return and they could not come for a week. In fairness I work all week so wanted a Sat appt and he could not accommodate me for 2 weeks. I'd already taken off 1 day for the first appt. Since the repair had made the problem worse I expected them to squeeze me in.
The price was outrageous. (I may be off on the hourly rate since it was 3 months ago but the total cost was well over $300.) $86 for the pump, $75 for the service call and $200 for the 1/2 hour he spent at my home. (I know this is outrageous because I had the ice cube maker replaced in my other refrigerator for $255 including the new GE ice cube maker. See review for Steve's Appliance Repair in Queens.)
The fortunate thing is that I paid with a check instead of cash or a credit card because I had my suspicions about the repairman's competence. I told the office I was stopping payment on the check until the problem was fixed. I haven't heard from them in months.

Last week I made a service appointment for today, July 5th, to have a leaky washing machine repaired. The woman I dealt with, Kathy, was extremely courteous and accommodating and me that a technician would call by 8am so that his arrival time would be confirmed. 8am came and went and when my wife called their number in Riverhead, her call was routed to the technician named Joe. He said that he had three calls today and that we were'nt on it. My wife explained our arrangement with Kathy the previous week and he said to her "Listen lady, we don't work the 4th of July weekend" and then hung up. When I got home I gave the Riverhead number a call and was routed to Joe. I explained to him that we had made arrangements for a service appointment today and he replied, we don't work 4th of July weekend. When I asked Joe why he had told my wife that we weren't one of his the three service calls today and how he reconciled it with his claim that they don't work this weekend he just hung up. I don't know what their repair service is like, but customer service and courtesy are not their strength, at least from their service technician..

Technician showed up as expected. Identified the problem. New part needed to be ordered. Part took 6 weeks from manufacturer. They arranged to install new part when it arrived. Problem fixed.
