Roof was replaced with GAF products. Very professional and experienced workers and excellent workmanship. Job was finished on time as promised. I worked with Brian Billingham and his Executive Assistant, Kerry. This was an outstanding customer service experience. I recommend JP Hunter without any reservations.

Do not be fooled by this smooth talker: He working illegally during COVID, doesn't have his guys wear masks or stay 6 inches from each other let alone six feet, picks the part of the job he wants to do then tries to get all the money and leave the rest of the job undone. He cries, makes up sad stories about sick people and his wife's birthday as a reason he can't finish the job. He left us high and dry!!! He does not respond to any texts or emails because he knows he is wrong and won't document it! He always wants to talk in person then starts his sob stories and asking for money.

In the spring of 2011 my then 89 year old mother contracted with JP Hunter to get a new roof. Her contact person was Patrick Maceli who is no longer with the company. When I spoke to Carlos he admitted they had many complaints about his work. My mother passed away and I inherited the house which started leaking earlier this year. When I contacted JP Hunter to see if there was any warranty I was told it was for 7 years which had passed two months earlier. I asked if there was any chance they would extend the warranty based on it having just expired and there being a problem with Patrick. She said Carlos would need to go to the house which I agreed to. She said he would not need access to the inside. He went over and when I followed up said that he couldn't access the inside and therefore couldn't evaluate it so apparently the office person was wrong. Carlos reinforced that warranty was expired so I did not have him return as I am not interested in paying for anything further with this particular company. He proceeded to tell me it was my mother's fault for having a new roof installed over an old one and she was lucky she got 7 years out of it. I told him she had the money to do whatever they recommended and would have done what they said. I asked him if he would speak to the owner Mr. Hunter and see if they could extend the warranty and he said he would do that and call me back. He never called me and did not return my phone call to follow up. I also left a message for Mr. Hunter personally which was also not returned. I have since hired someone else to re do the roof but I would warn prospective customers to be wary of this company.

Great. Arrived on time, discovered source of problems and other problems of which we were unaware. Very professional. Price was high, though. Couldn't get competitive estimates because one roofer canceled, another never returned the call, and the problem was compelling.

It went great. Very professional. Use high quality materials. Excellent clean up. Had several heavy rains since job, no leaks.

The old roof was removed down to the plywood and replaced with GAF products according to the manufacturer's specifications. The work was completed according to the terms of the contract drawn up by me.

The service was very courteous and professional and the results are fantastic - the cedar roof is beautiful and has greatly improved the character and appearance of our house. I thoroughly recommend JP Hunter.

SALES REP VERY PROFESSIONAL, EXPLAINED JOB IN FULL, FINAL NEGOTIATED PRICE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ESTIMATES I HAD RECEIVED, BUT INCLUDED NEW GUTTERS AND LEADERS INSTALLED. INSTALLATION WAS PERFORMED ON SCHEDULE AND CLEAN UP WAS NEAR PERFECT. ROOF DID HAVE A SMALL LEAK 3 DAYS AFTER INSTALLATION IN 2 PLACES. REPAIRS WERE MADE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF MY CALL, VERY RESPONSIVE. ROOF LEAKED AGAIN 2 WEEKS AFTER INSTALLATION, AGAIN PROMPT SERVICE AND REPAIR WITHIN 24 HRS. WOULD HAVE RATED THEM "A" ACROSS THE BOARD IF NOT FOR THE 2 CALLBACKS. WOULD DEFINITIVELY USE THEM AGAIN.

They were on time, the job went smooth, the clean up was great.

I can't comment on the quality of the installation, since I'm no roofing expert and it will take many, many years to see how the job holds up. However, I can say that minor glitches were immediately taken care of, the clean-up was exceptional and the roof looks really nice. Sales rep. was professional and punctual, but I would have liked more input regarding various roofing options before the job started. For example, a better explanation of the GAF roofing system, more info. on the warranty options, larger samples of the actual shingles, etc. He was, however, frequently on the job and answered all questions and immediately addressed the few very minor problems we had. The cost of our new roof by JP Hunter was about 2/3 that of another estimate we got. Overall, we are very, very pleased.

THIS IS A VERY POOR COMPANY. THEY DID NOT FINISH THE WORK, BUT HAVE TAKEN THE MONEY FOR THE JOB. WE ARE UNSURE ABOUT ALL THE PROBLEMS THEY SAID THEY WERE HAVING. WE FEEL THAT THIS IS A DISHONEST COMPANY.
