Showed up and paved driveway as they said they would in the Fall. Made arrangements for.new driveway to be sealed in the Spring and they called as they said they would in the Spring to set up an appointment. All went as planned and as priced.

This driveway was originally laid 40 years ago by the same family, it lasted great, but because of tree roots and the fact that it’s a very steep drive, it was a little bit worse for wear (earth moves a lot on a steep incline and we were getting water in the garage). Needed a good fresh-up and a re-grating. It’s basically brand new now, and the water runs in the correct direction away from the house again. Very quick quality work. Probably will hire them again in 40 years when we do it again! Haha

We had a very unpleasant experience with this company. They insisted on getting a $1,500 (50%) up-front deposit from us before scheduling the work. Then, once they had our money, they postponed the job three different times, all at the last minute. We had to shuffle our vehicles around several times. The fourth time, two guys showed up, but instead of bringing heavy equipment, they brought hand shovels and pickaxes to do the work. The repair patch they installed is much smaller than what was promised on the written estimate, and it was poorly installed. It stands slightly above grade, and has already begun to fray and crack around the edges. We told the owner that we were very upset, but he simply told us: "That's all that we are willing to do". After some back and forth, we got them to reluctantly agree that we should not have to pay them the remaining balance (50%). Based on their unprofessionalism and poor workmanship, we would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone.

The far/street section was completely redone with RCA undersection and asphalt. The closer section was resurfaced. The total driveway is now seamlessly tied together as one unit. It was also well graded (when some of upper level looked low he added more asphalt). George has a good eye. All edges are now neat and clean in appearance.

I hired this company through Angie's List because they had a good rating and I wanted to support local business. I needed them to tear out and repave the driveway at my secondary address, where I am currently not staying. I made 2 payments of $1500 to this company but when I went to check on the work, I found it in worse condition than before the work was completed. I even had 3 neighbors come and ring my doorbell and tell me about the terrible work that had been performed. I tried contacting the company to come back out and fix it, which they said they would...but never showed. At this point, I'm out $3000.

"My name is George Assouad. I am the business owner of All Purpose Paving, located at 1795 Osborn Avenue Riverhead NY [Member Information Removed]. I am responding to the above complaint from [Member named removed] who lives at [Member Information Removed] Court in Riverhead NY. I did pave the driveway. [Member name removed] was not satisfied with the texture of the asphalt. I explained to [Member name removed] that asphalt is made up of stones, and that eventually the driveway will wear in evenly. [Member name removed] expected the driveway to look as if it were sealcoated once paved. I explained to him that in order to make a driveway look as if it were sealcoated you have to sealcoat it. I agreed to sealcoat the dribeway for him free of charge. Me and two of my helpers came to his hoise while he was home and sealcoated the driveway. Again [Member name removed] was still complaining about his driveway. The driveway is fine. It is a very small driveway. The water is running away from the garage as it should. No pudding is lasting any where near the 24 that contractors in my trade allow for lying water to run. I know that [Member name removed] is a good man, and I would hope that he would allow me one more opportunity to rectify the driveway without ripping it out as that would be a very large cost to my small company. The driveway will last many years. Is strong, and already is beginning to wear nicely."

Did a good job and the price was very reasonable. They even came back later to check how my garage door was sitting, didn't quite like it, so they redid the work and now the garage door sits perfectly and that was at no extra charge.They are very experienced and know what they are doing. They gave me a 5 year warranty on the pavement job. They are a family owned business. He did such a great job, I also had him do my fathers driveway. His equipment is unbelievable. The thing that I liked the most is that they followed up and pointed out an issue that I would not have noticed on my own. That made their character stand out to me. They were honest and were standing behind their work.
