I've recently worked with Charles Rabinovitch Architects. Charles combined two adjacent apartments for me, to create a spacious penthouse residence that overlooks Lincoln Center in Manhattan. What's really thrilling about the new space is that one would never have guessed it was once two apartments. The flow from room to room is so gracious. The apartment has a sophisticated urban feeling. Light floods in at the right places, but Charles also designed intimate private areas--a perfect balance. The attention to detail is evident in every room. Charles was a pleasure to work with and responsive to my suggestions. I highly recommend him.

We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Charles and his team on our unique project. It is a total gut renovation of a house that has land use issues. We are building next to huge granite outcroppings. Charles design incorporated the views; the way the sun would hit the house; the terrain. We were really blown away when we saw his previous projects and knew that Charles Rabinovitch was the Architect for us. What we did not expect was his complete lack of conceit. I have very specific ideas of what I want-Charles is always willing to listen and to incorporate them when they are feasible. It is really a conversation between us, not an Architect dictating what he wants. Charles recently told me that each project is *a symphony, not a song* (seriously, he did!). Charles has been a serious force to make sure that the *i*s are dotted and that the *t*s are crossed in this complicated project... It really could not have happened without him. We cannot wait to share the photos when it is completed.

Charles is a real pro. He designed a home from beginning to end for my husband and myself in Riverdale that is working out to meet all our needs and is spectacular at the same time. Charles helped us to combine two coop apartments and make it into one large loft like space with a new open kitchen and 3 new bathrooms, a pantry with a slop sink and built in storage throughout . Charles understands how to maximize space, keeps things simple and knows how to work within a budget while being uncompromising about quality and efficiency. Charles worked with furniture we had and reused it in the new home. As we are busy professionals with no time to oversee the construction Charles remained on top of the renovation remaining reliable and thorough throughout the process. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Charles Rabinovitch. We truly have a home we love to live in due to his astute eye, talent and follow through.

Charles was easy to work with. His design and color were thoughtful and aesthetic. He did great with supervising the project and on time with finishing. He was great!

I am giving Charles 5 stars because we had to rebuild our new apartment completely, transform it into something that would serve our needs. Charles was instrumental in taking limitations that existed and transforming the place into something that really reflected our needs. Charles has very strong network of relationships with various professionals in the industry that also brought us some significant monetary benefits. In addition to his skills, Charles is very good at clients interaction and served very often as a mediator between contractors and client. Overall, we were very pleased with the results of our work with Charles and his firm.

This was our first time renovating an apartment. Charles and colleagues were attentive and professional. He has excellent attention to detail, design and color. We are absolutely pleased with the outcome. The only issue, not exclusive to Charles, is that the project turned out bigger and more expensive than we had originally planned. He had excellent ideas that we agreed should be done while we were at it anyway. I believe, if we were more firm, he would have adhered to our wishes.

Charles is polite to deal with but I would not recommend him to anyone else. He is very poor at responding to emails or phone calls. After nearly two years we had to go back to the drawing board as the original plans turned out to be impractical from structural perspective. Charles produced a new inital drawing in June with a promise of final new plans and also a plan for how we could get the project back on track. The new plans were supposed to be delivered in mid-July It is now November and we have not heard from him since July 6.

Mr. Rabinovitch was professional, honest and has integrity.

This was our first time using an architect for a major home remodel, but working with Charles, everything went smoothly. His professional manner is a great balance of realizing our vision, with offering his own design ideas and solutions. Charles not only solved some major layout difficulties to our satisfaction, but complimented that with an excellent attention to detail. His inspiration is felt everywhere we turn. Our master bathroom, with the copper slate floor and warm blown-glass lighting, is a relaxing, romantic sanctuary. He also insured that our custom built kitchen island, was properly functional in every way. Charles also proved to be a wealth of information regarding building surfaces, plumbing and electrical fixtures. Most important, he kept us from making short sighted mistakes that we probably would have regretted later. We would certainly look forward to the opportunity to work with him again.
