Jimmy and Salman was courteous and fixed the problem. Explained and showed me the issue so that I can tell my husband when he gets home. Just a little pricey.

The men were very nice, polite and helpful.  I'm not sure if the price was good or not because I did not get another estimate.  Overall it was a positive experience and I would use them again.

This is the second time McDougall Electric has performed work at our home, and both times were outstanding experiences. The electrician is knowledgeable and communicative.  Both times I felt confident that the upgraded work was now safe and reliable. 



In addition to the highly professional level of service, I am very appreciative of Diana who was extraordinarily responsive to phone calls. In both instances, the electricians were at my home within 24 hours, and in one case the service was done on the day I called. Each time, Diana called to let me know when the electricians were on the way.

They're a little on the pricey side but their work is very clean and professional. They have a lot of experience so can give great suggestions for how to set up different systems.

Really great guys. They arrive promptly. They do great work. They even clean up after themselves. But be sure to ask for a quote first. My second time using them they overcharged for what was done. Still, great work. Was probably my fault for not asking prior to the fact. I'd still use them again for an important job. They explain this as you go if you ask and they really do leave the place in good shape.

Electricians were dispatched quickly after my initial call. When they arrived I told them the dining room lights
weren't working They assessed the problem and discovered it was in the ceiling fan which they promptly
assessed and fixed. They were friendly, courteous and very efficient. I would have no hesitation to use them
again and refer them to friends and neighbors. This is the second time I've used this company and both
times have been very pleased with their service.

Chris checked out each issue and diagnosed all of them correctly. He even had a backup solution for the lamppost if the sockets could not be replaced. He was friendly but professional.

I replaced a switch/ outlet combo receptacle with a typical double outlet receptacle in my living room. Went to go turn the breaker on and it popped/ sizzled. I thought the circuit breaker blew; bought a new one and no avail.
McDougall came out and found out that I tightened the electrical work box clamp on the wires and not on the jacket/ shielding thus creating a short. A STUPID mistake that cost me $400. Could it have been done for cheaper? Yes, I'm sure... but, everyone was booked, they didn't want to budge from that price, and I was kind of desperate b/c half of my kitchen was on that circuit breaker line.
The electricians work on the other hand, which I personally stood and watched over, was very good. He labeled the wires, installed a larger box, since there were 3 cables coming in, and checked/ installed my original old my circuit breaker.

Chris and Jimmy were prompt. explained the problem and took care of it quickly. They were very professiona, courteous and took time to explain other questions I had. I'm a real estate agent and will recommend them to any of my clients.

Chris McDougall has been my family's electrician for years. There's no one else I would trust to touch the electric in my home. He's professional, fairly priced, works cleanly and promptly, not to mention a really nice guy, as is his son who works in the business with him.

But that was the fourth visit. From March-July, 2013, McDougall checked my electrical system, rewired circuits, installed light fixtures and additional outlets or replaced moved or defective ones, wired in 19 recessed lights, installed exterior floodlights and adjusted switches, and so on. The costs were high, but I suspect no higher than the going rate -- I cross-checked one or two of the quotes. It was sometimes difficult to get them to come, but when they said they were going to come at a certain time, they did. Very professional operation.

Apparently I was not strong enough to reset the circuit breaker myself because he was able to reset it
immediately. However, he checked all the affected lights and outlets to make sure there wasn't a
short somewhere which had caused the circuit breaker to trip. He didn't find anything, but the fact
that he was so thorough was very impressive and encouraging. I will certainly use this company again
and have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone who needs any electrical service.

They did a good job for me. They did what I had wanted them to do. They were good to work with. If I have any electrical work to do, I will call them again.

It was an emergency, we were out of town and needed someone to come out immediately. There were eventually able to get the power back on. Very good, and we will definately use them in the future.

They were wonderful and came right away when other electricians would not.

Due to the frequency of power outtages in my area I decided once and for all to purchase a 7,500 watt emergency generator. I had McDougall Electric install a transfer switch next to my service. Pete and Chris Jr. came on time and did an excellent job with no mess or fuss. This is the second time I have used McDougall Electric and I will continue to use them for many years to come. This is a very honest and professional family run business.
