Neal provided excellent consultation and advice re: installing a motion detection-based light fixture for our rear porch, vs. a standard fixture. he could have sold us on a more costly solution, but steered us in the right director which was much appreciated. Neal is experienced, helpful and did great quality work

My cousins from Fl were coming with there motor home.  Last year there was a problem with my outside plug as it would
always trip the breaker. 
I called Neal n asked if he could put a plug in for them to use while they stayed with me.
Of course I didn't know anything about the plug.  So my cousin emailed  a pic. of his plug on the 
MH and I gave the picture to Neal n presto all done correctly.
They said this year it was a pleasure staying  here absolutely no problems
Also they decided to come up earlier and just called Neal n he made time to come
the next day.
Never would I call anyone else and when Neal does anything he never has to come back done right the
first time 

Responded quickly and gave thorough estimate. Explained options and gave information about codes and safety. Neil gave us a sense of confidence that he knew what he was doing and would do a great job.  He then proceeded to do just that. He arrived promptly on day scheduled with assistant and worked hard through the day.  Gave options and consulted with us about where we preferred placement of switches and height of kitchen light fixture over table.  Left all work sites neat and clean and even vacuumed!  Price was reasonable and it was a pleasure to watch a true professional at work.   I'm so glad  that we have a great electrician who we can call for our future needs.

Neal came and estimated the work we needed.  Provide us with a written estimate which we agreed to and then came with an assistant and completed all the work in one day.  They left my house cleaner then when they arrived.  All the work was done professionally and efficiently.  I highly recommend them to everyone.

Work went great.  Neal was prompt and went right to work.  He quickly put together all the pieces to our ceiling fan and installed it  efficiently, in no time at all.  He proceeded to install the light in the laundry room, which was something we previously tried to do on our own, but were unable to do.  He explained the wiring so that we understood why we hadn't been able to install the light ourselves.  He proceeded to install a new high hat, which was a replacement for a broken fixture.  Although the high hat we bout was different, he made it work. You'd never know it was a different fixture.  The light he installed in the basement was done without a hitch.  Again, quickly and efficiently. 

After he was done with the installations, he took the time to check a light we had installed ourselves to make sure we had wired it up correctly.  He also consulted with us regarding a light fixture we have over the stairway and gave us some viable options as to what we can do with it.

He was extremely knowledgeable, cordial, listened to our questions and came back with viable solutions.  The overall experience was fantastic and way beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend him to anyone who was looking to have electrical work done.

Neal came down to disconnect my old stove n of course there is always a problem. This time it was a frayed wire. When the new stove came in I let Neal know what day it would be it was delivered in the morning n Neal was here in the afternoon to connect it. My floors are crooked so he made sure everything was level. Neal is also very patient n answers all my questions and take the time to explain things Would always call Neal for any electric issues

Amazing workmanship. Obsessive in getting it right and has a great eye for the details. Very reasonable, always present and always professional. Not only extremely competent but Neal is a nice guy as well! There are a lot of electricians out there, I would at least talk to Neil Mahoney Electric before making a decision.

I have an older home and the electrical boxes in the walls are very small and the wiring is old. I am installing a home automation system so switches, outlets and the electrical boxes all needed to be replaced in the walls. Neal went out of his way not to cause any damage to the walls and paint to replace the in wall boxes and install new switches and outlets. Most of the wiring in the house has old or no grounding. Neal recommended and installed a GFI outlet on some of the circuits to protect us from getting any shocks. This is why I use Neal for all my electrical work. He's always thinking about his customers and their safety!

Neal did an excellent job.  The porch light that was on the house was very old with the new
one Neal put a piece of wood behind the light and it looks great.
He also put in a pole light and I am delighted on how much better it looks then my old one.
Also everything was all neat n tidy when he left.  Looks like the new fixtures were always there.
Workman ship is excellent.

Neal did an outstanding job and was extremely pleasant to work with.   

     First he had to upgrade our electric box.  We were given advance notice of when the electricity would be turned off and an approximate time frame that we would be without electricity.    

      All of the appointments that needed to be made for Town inspections were handeled by Neal -- keeping our schedule in mind when making such appointments.    He worked well with all of the inspectors as well as the air conditioning people that were involved in the project. 

     Neal is truly a professional and worked in a most gentlemanly fashion.

Neil was on-time, friendly and professional.  He even fixed a safety issue in my house for free that I didn't know about.  I will certainly use him again for any electrical work I need done in the future.

I had an outlet out in my garage.  I checked the breaker panel and no breakers were popped.  Neil mentioned to me on the phone that in some houses, outlets are controlled by GFIs located somewhere else in the house.  Sure enough, there was a GFI located within the breaker compartment that I had overlooked.  I reset the GFI and sure enough, that fixed the problem.  If I ever have any electrical problems in the future, I will be sure to call Neil.

Neil was punctual and did the work in  timely fashion.  He is very personable and animal friendly.   His prices are very reasonable and I would use him again.

Neal responded very quickly to my call and came out the same day.  He was able to trace the problem I had with my ceiling fan and replaced my porch light fixture and installed a wired in smoke detector for me.  I am very pleased and I willl call him again should i have any other electrical issues.

We had a switch in our bathroom that would not reset when we plugged in our hair dryer.  It also caused a problem with the bathroom vent.  He tracked down the problem outside and fixed it.  We were very pleased with him.  We have not had any other electrical services so we are not sure if the pricing is competitive.  He was prompt and professional.

We literally called 10 local electricians and left various messages but no one even bothered to call back. Neal was responsive and showed up on a holiday weekend. Our issue was that a circuit blew but the switch on the panel did not flip. Neal diagnosed this quickly and easily and explained how the circuits from the 1970s were designed/flawed. He replaced several outlets and explained how replacing the rest would prevent this issue from happening in other areas of the house. Neal's work was far above our expectations and we would definitely recommend him. In fact, we will call him in again to run some new lines and possibly upgrade the service in the house. Can't say enough about how smooth this was!

The job was performed very professionally, neat and clean. There was no mess or anything for me to clean up afterwards and the process was performed in such a way that loss of power in the house was kept to a minimum. The electrical inspector that came to check the installation actually told me it was the best installation he had seen  in a long time.
