WILES CONSTRUCTION INC

We hired Charlie Wiles to remodel our kitchen. We had to take it down to the studs. The job included replacing windows, rewiring, flooring, replacing all cabinets, lighting, new doors and more. I can't speak highly enough about this man's work. First and foremost he is a genius with wood. Beneath layers of flooring he found an old fir floor that he was able to salvage by weaving in new wood seamlessly (check out the floor of the altar at Good Shepherd in Rhinebeck). He found old beams in the floor that he reused as visible structural elements. He made the most beautiful countertop out of wood he found in our barn. He is an artist (with a Yankee's sense of reuse and save) Charlie Wiles is utterly responsible. He is incredible about having the place cleaned up when his guys leave - we would come on Fridays and the detritus of construction would be cleared as much as possible. If he said his crew would be there working on something they always were. He is really reliable. The jobs we hired him for are always completely finished - he doesn't leave loose ends. He didn't disappear when there were a few final touches that needed addressing. He was creative and thoughtful and very responsive. Most of all we learned that he was utterly trustworthy. The price for that project was not the lowest and not the highest but it was a fair price and we think we got more than we bargained for. He comes up with creative solutions and he is sensitive to saving money on a project. I highly recommend Charlie Wiles. We have hired him for all subsequent projects. He is currently finishing a major addition project for us.

Entire operation went extremely well and we couldn't be happier with the results.
