After 2 years tho, the locks on the all the exterior doors with the double bolted locks, made by Rocky Mtn , started to fail. The main problem was that the latch mechanism would get loose or break off and so there was no way to lock the doors. This was especially troubling because the house is a weekend house and unattended for weeks at a time.
The main problem , besides the badly designed, locking mechanism, is the SERVICE OR LACK THEREOF FROM CRAWFORD DOORS.
It takes forever to get in touch with someone, phone calls are rarely answered and even emails fail to get responses for service appointments. The most effective way to get their attention, and then only for a brief period was to start posting negative comments on the pella.com site complaining about their service provider.
Unfortunately, even tho the Pella doors and windows are good products, some of the hardware is faulty and worse their service department is terrrible.
I will not use this company again and will research more carefully which supplier has a better service record.
