Pamela Jodiene's Alterations

Pamela is pleasant.  That's the only positive.
She did the measuring and fitting in the beauty parlor next to her "shop".  By the time we were done the dresses were covered in hair clippings.  I had misgivings from the start but I didn't have time to shop around.  I asked her if she also steamed or ironed and she said no.  She called me one week and one day before dresses scheduled to be done.  She told me she couldn't have done the next day.  I told her she had told me they wouldn't be done until one week later.  She was surprised and said she'd have them done in time.  She called the day before I was scheduled to pick up and she asked me what time i was coming because she wanted to make sure she had the dresses pressed for me.  ????  I picked them up the next evening.  They appeared to be fine on the hanger.  I took them home and my daughters tried them on.  One end of the strap came off on one dress - without aggressive pulling for sure.  Both dresses were so snug I could barely zip them.  THe dress that had attached straps - had straps that were too short and they are not the same length.  I paid a lot for the dresses and I paid a lot for the alterations and now I have a mess on my hands.  The dresses are not pressed and they now smell like a basement.  Pamela blamed her broken machine for the problems.  Please.  I have my suspicions about what is at the root of the problems.  It's pretty obvious.  Now I'm so stuck.  I am going back to have her look at them and see if she can fix them.  I think she'll probably totally destroy them.  I can't believe people have had positive things to say.  I cant imagine the poor bride who takes her white dress to Pamela.  Eek.

I've been a customer for many years, always satisfied with Pamela's work. She skillfully tailors my plus-size pants and tops. She once repaired a tear in the fabric so you couldn't even see it. Also, she has done hemming of clothing and things like pillow cases and curtains. I will continue to use her shop, which in itself is quite colorful.

I was very satisfied with the alterations? I would definetly recommend her services to others.

She is very reasonable and I was very pleased. I would use her services again in the future.
