I took the TV to Exchange TV on 11/12/2014 to see if it was worth repIring. Gary looked at it and said that he would get back to me. He gave me a quote of $65.00 if no parts were needed and $75.00 if parts were required. I knew that the tuner attachment was broken.
Gary called this AM and said that it was fixed. I am very happy with his service.

He was very responsive. They had trouble getting a part from the manufacturer, but that was understandable. He had a reasonable price.

Picture became distorted. Took it to exchange TV and it worked fine. They monitored it for a week and it worked fine during that time. After they put the back on and before I picked it up the picture became distorted again. They called me immediately, told me what was wrong, ordered the parts, and it now works fine. Great job for a reasonable price. Lots cheaper than buying a new TV.

Gary was very nice,prompt, and professional. I sort of thought it would take 1-2 hours. He was done in less than 30 minutes. It was expensive but so worth it. Not many people around that do that sort of work. TV is 61inch screen and less than 5 years old. I ordered the part. That was $150. I looked on you tube but the job seemed very technical and Gary advised against it. He knew exactly what he was doing. Would've taken me all day and maybe wouldn't have been successful.

The installation went great. Gary was very professional as well. He called to let me know that he was on his way. He took his time to install the TV and didn't rush through the process,even though it was a small job. I've gotten a number of appliances from Rensselaer Appliance/Exchange TV. They continue to provide great service. Just so you know, the exterior of this store isn't fancy. But don't let that stop you from shopping there.

Gary was able to come to your house within two days of our initial call. He gave us a two hour window of time when he would be at our house (12-2pm) and told us he would call about 15 minutes before he got to our address. He did exactly as promised, was able to repair the broken cable connection to our TV, and had everything up and running within an hour. The $130 covered the house visit, part and labor.

Store visit finds a replacement TV at moderate cost with requested features. Delivery/installation/removal within 48 hrs. Totally satisfied w/punctuality and professionalism during the whole process. No charge for delivery/installation to offset cost of unsuccessful service visit. No hesitation to recommend this locally owned and operated business.

The service was excellent. They came right out and the installation went very well. The workers were very professional and it was a reasonable price.

Notwithstanding my unhappiness at having to spend anything at all on such a young electronic appliance, I could not be happier with a service provider who minimized the pain.....quickly and at a reasonable cost. When I do replace 1 of these t.v.'s, I'll be going back to Exchange TV.
