Serena Staats went completely out of her way to help get this job planned. During all the their hard work, Serena, Bo, Nigel Staats and Noah were all very professional and very down to earth. They all have incredible work ethic. They were hired to fix our cracking foundation. We had two cracks. One was more severe than the other. For them to get to the cracks they had to take out our old concrete patio and dig down to the footing. They fixed the cracks inside and out, and then put in a new concrete patio. They filled in three basement windows, replaced two other basement windows, installed two window wells, installed drainage pipes for gutter run off and also added fill around the foundation to create a positive grade or slope so that water runs away from our foundation. They did great work. We will definitely hire them again for any future concrete needs.

Looking through reviews on area companies to do a concrete patio for the rear of our house, we came upon Staats Masonry which had several recent positive reviews, so we requested a quote. Within a week they were out at our house to look at our project and listened to what we were looking for and gave feedback with some ideas for improvement. They were able to fit us in a couple of months down the road and provided constant feedback on our construction date related to their work schedule. They were able to complete the project two and a half days (21 by 20 concrete patio) and it came out looking great. All of the Staats employees and family members were very polite and friendly and listening to them work you can tell that they enjoy the work that they do (and the people that they do it with). I would recommend them to others for masonry related work.

We needed a place to relax that was comfortable and welcoming as it was in the front of our home. The work included a walkway from streetside to the front door and a 14x14 patio, all in bluestone. It is too bad this site doesn't allow photos because the work is stellar. I would consider this artisan work of the highest caliber. We wanted a peace pagoda and we got a temple. The folks were friendly and courteous. Gave a guestimate of when they could start and hit the mark. Once they started, they worked till complete. If you 've never hired a contractor before, you won't appreciate how rare that is. The final design was a collaborative effort and we couldn't have gotten a better job if we were granted a wish. I recently bought a 1968 ranch home. The front and back porches and areas of the foundation were in dire need of major repair and resurfacing. I also wanted a color stain applied to the porches and the foundation when the masonry was complete. From my initial conversation with Serena, to the very detailed estimate, and throughout the job to completion, I was very happy with the timeframe and the quality of the work. Serena and Bo answered my many questions along the way. They were a pleasure to deal with; and, I am very happy with the outcome. I learned a lot about masonry from my many questions and their thorough responses. This is a family business that exhibits an attention to detail, honesty and to customer service that is hard to find these days. I realize that my project was small compared to their usual scope, but I was treated with professionalism nonetheless. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Staats was very efficient, clear, and knowledgeable about the work they did. I stopped down to observe and talk about the work numerous times, and the end result is perfect, and looks brand new. We removed some 50-60 year old foundation windows and replaced them with new ones, and they look great, function well, and are securely installed. I also got some good tips about future maintenance and things to watch for. I will be having them back to handle the opposite side of the foundation.

They provided excellent customer service, were friendly, did not try to upsell, they were honest in what work needed to be done!!! They communicated throughout the whole process and even completed the job before I expected. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and recommend them highly. They are extremely busy and there is a reason for that! The mortar matched my existing mortar so you can not tell the holes and cracks they had to fix!

I was faced with the perfect storm of a failed sewer line that led to need to replace foundation wall, install a new retaining wall and pour a new sidewalk. After speaking with a number of contractors, Staats was an easy choice. Serena and Bo from start to finish displayed a level of integrity, professionalism and care that I haven't experienced from another contractor. This was a long project, complicated and caused considerable stress and anxiety. Bo and Serena kept in close communication, answered my myriad questions promptly, always giving me a sense of confidence. In finishing the work they paid attention to detail and went above and beyond in assuring I was comfortable with the final product, which looks amazing, a neighbor immediately tried to hire them and my neighbors walking by remark on how great everything looks. I can't recommend Staats highly enough, and they will certainly be my first call if I have any masonry questions or needs in the future. Again, can't Bo and Serena enough!

The village where I lived damaged my property. As a fairly new home owner, I went to home advisor to find a mason. Staats Masonry are the nicest and most helpful people. They worked with me through a ton of issues and were professional and understanding. I could not be happier with the job they did on the retaining wall and this company. If you hire them you will not be disappointed!

There aren t enough words to explain how terrifying it is to have part of your house foundation collapse. Staats Masonry was recommended through a friend. Bo and Serena were here quickly to assess the situation which was not good. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Their work and expertise was spot on. Always let you know what was going on and what the game plan was each day. Totally committed to giving the best job and actually went over and above. Also, a shout out to Steve, their hard-working sidekick! We plan on having more work done by them next year!

We had several companies look at our property. We had drainage problems causing a bluestone walkway to shift and damage to a stone wall. They were the only ones that to come up with sensible solutions, and the only ones who took the time to listen to us so they really understood our concerns. They did a great job and communicated with us every step of the way. They are a professional, competent team. Couldn't recommend them too highly.

Staats Masonary helped to install a 16x16’ paver patio on a sloped yard. They communicated with me every step of the process and even helped with designing. I felt they listened to my thoughts and intent. They were extremely professional and accommodated a very tight schedule. Wouldn’t hesitate to call them again. Great Job. Put your mind at ease and look no further for a masonry contractor. There are very few that work at such a high level of competence and Staats Masonry works beyond this. What a pleasure it was to have them at our home building our garage foundation. They'll keep you informed and keep your confidence high daily. You may just come up with more projects for them and find that you've found some new friends!

Staats Masonry was extremely professional and easy to work with. We had the block foundation walls in our basement repaired and parged. The work was completed within the timeframe mentioned and for the price quoted in the estimate. I would feel very confident recommending them.

We had a floor pad poured into an existing garage. You would be hard pressed to find a better concrete crew than Staats Masonry. Serena was very professional in getting the whole thing set up. She kept me up to date with the shifting schedule due to the inclement weather and made sure that the construction date worked for us. Howard and his crew worked efficiently and did an excellent job adding the floor and installing the concrete apron with drainage in front of the garage. They all were very personable and wanted to make sure that we knew exactly what was going into the job. The job was a little expensive, but we thought the price was justified because of the high quality materials that they used. I have no doubt that the concrete floor will be solid for years to come. They were also very upfront with the contract in that the price they quoted was the price we paid even though the quote originally called for crushed rock filler and instead they added a moisture barrier and additional concrete at no additional charge. If you're looking for quality work and really good people to work with, then this is the company for you.

We are very pleased with our walkway and steps. Staats worked with us through the entire process to convert our ideas into a design that took care of our practical needs and that has substantially enhanced our home's curb appeal. They promptly addressed all our concerns before, during and after the project. We were able to observe several phases of the work and we remain impressed with their workmanship and work ethic. Staats Masonry is a family business. Their work ethic is outstanding. Our job was small, but all the family members and workers treated us and the work with respect and positive attitude. They provided a clear estimate, arrived as scheduled, completed the work and cleared the work area and put in top soil and seeding. This is a company that can tackle the biggest jobs and will give your small job the attention needed.

We had a sink hole that went under our front entry walk. Staats arrived when expected to study the damage. They made recommendations on how to repair the problem, and also on necessary repairs to prevent it happening again. Realizing that this was an urgent repair, they fit us into the schedule, and in less than a week from my initial call, the work was finished, neatly and professionally.
