Precision Roads & Driveways

This is not your routine paving company review. This is more so a story of a human being showing empathy for another. But if you don’t have time to read this all, just know that Precision Roads is not only full of people who will provide you with a skillful and high quality driveway or parking lot but more importantly, it is comprised of people who are kind human beings. Our driveway was a hot mess thanks to a scam paving company. We were in desperate need of a reliable paver and Precision came highly recommended by multiple people. The owner, Harry, responded to my call right away and came out himself to ***** the situation within days. We then had the pleasure of having, Richard, the lead estimator come out and meet with us as well. We came up with a plan and they got their crew out to our house the following week. This crew is a well oiled machine! There was about 10 guys working, including Harry, the owner. It reminded me of a choreographed dance they way each person knew what to do and when. They were able to do our driveway and our neighbor across the street from start to finish within a day and a half. Every person we encountered was pleasant, respectful and seemed to enjoy their job. My kids are obsessed with Blippi these days so they loved seeing the big machines working. The crew were patient and friendly to answer my little ones questions. We are still in awe of how amazing our driveway looks and how much it really elevated the look of our property. We are customers for life!

Rich and his crew completed the job on time, and everything was done professionally, at a reasonable price.

Harry was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. The estimated cost was reasonable and right on target. His suggestions to deal with special issues were entirely reasonable. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The crew was cheerful and friendly. The entire job was complete in two days (One day for the drainage issues, and one for the paving.) Very neat workers and thorough clean-up after completion. Highly recommended.

Excellent - Josh came and gave an estimate and provided some options. Josh also gave an estimate to a neighbor and we both had our driveways paved at the same time. Precision Roads gave us each some money off because we did the driveways at the same time.

Representative arrived as agreed to provide estimate. Amount quoted was similar to another A-rated contractor and half that of another A-rated contractor. Representative was professional, friendly and answered all my questions. Crew arrived on the date and time promised. Crew worked steadily and carefully. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after completion. I am extremely happy with their finished product.

Removed old asphalt driveway. Excavated area , installed separation mat. Laid ~8in. crusher run base and compacted, Laid 2.5 in binder blacktop and compacted, Laid 2.5 in type 6 finish asphalt and compacted. The owner Harry was on the job all day. The crew arrived promptly as scheduled and worked continuously until the job was complete. Despite dealing with heavy roadway traffic and overhead power lines and tree limbs, the crew worked efficiently and completed the job in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and left the area neater than when they arrived.

These guys are great.  They came on time.   They were incredibly conscientious about the paving work.   When the crew was short-handed, Harry (the boss) pitched in and was here supervising every aspect of the work.  This fall they came as promised to see how the paving had held up over the summer, and then they sealed it for a reasonable price.  I give them high marks on all aspects of the job and strongly recommend them to others. 

Cant' call me back and no show for the estimate. I lost interest. Would'nt bother with again.

Precision promptly called me back to set up a free estimate 8/26. Rich showed up on time and was knowledgeable and willing to share pricing options. He did not offer me a written estimate during the visit, but said that he would said one by email later in the day. No email. The next day, 8/27, I called Rich who explained that his oven had failed he hadn't sent the estimate because he had to focus on finding its replacement. He thanked me for my patience and promised the estimate by the following day, 8/28. No email on 8/28 either. I'm disappointed because the informational visit and verbal quote that Rich gave me would likely have resulted in me contracting with them. I feel fortunate that I didn't sign the contract and then find out that Precision doesn't seem to care about timeliness or their promises.

The installation of the asphalt driveway went very smoothly.  Don came out a week ago to give me an estimate and explain the procedure.  I accepted the contract after having two other estimates from other companies.  Don called me to make an date and time for the install.  The crew came on time and completed the driveway install within 4 hours.  Don and the owner, Harry, were on site the entire time of the driveway install.  I had issues with water seeping into my garage when it rained and they fixed the problem.  I was impressed with the punctuality, professionalism, and clean up afterwards.  They also explained how in detail how to care for my new driveway. Overall a very positive experience.

So?you read the reviews and can see that they all kinda say the same thing?. Harry is great and they did a terrific job.  I am a skeptic and it?s rare to see all A?s on Angie?s list but I will confirm?it?s all true! 

I had gotten a folder full of estimates and chose Precision and I am glad I did.  I chose their estimate because it was the most thorough, professional, priced the best, had the best warranty and they gave me several options for paving. I chose to go with a more durable heavy duty type of asphalt which costs more but was still priced way under their competitors.  They also were very quick to schedule the job since I was in a rush even though it?s an extremely busy time at the end of the paving season.

My driveway needed to be completely dug up, enlarged and redone and they also refinished my maze of sidewalks.  It looks gorgeous and totally enhanced the looks of my house.  Cars drive by real slow just to look.  They showed up with an army of heavy duty equipment and were in and out by early afternoon.

I would definitely vouch for Precision Roads!

Harry was outstanding and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have a driveway paved.  They arrived early in the morning with several trucks, worked quickly and cleanly (there is not a spec of debris left after the work was done) and exceeded all expectations, leaving mid-day.  It is beautiful!!!

From the estimate to the completion of work, Precision Roads kept us informed of exactly what they were doing.  The crew came early in the morning.  They dug out the old driveway and installed the new one, finishing the work by mid-afternoon.  The new driveway looks great!
Throughout the process, from estimation to completion of work, the crew was very pleasant.  Their price was the best among the companies that provided estimates to us.

Everything was great actually. I do it with the neighbor also and we split it into half. I think both of the driveways together was $500 so I paid $250. Everything was good. They were neat, clean and everything was here on time. They cleaned up too. I would tell that they were very professional. They had all the equipment that was needed and were here on time. They were courteous and did a really good job. Everything was pitched the right way so the water runs off. I thought they were reasonable but I didn’t look into other places as far as price goes but I thought that it was a reasonable price.

Harry, the owner, was very personable and after getting a number of quotes we decided to go with his company.  He was reasonable and informative as we discussed the options of binder or no binder for our 300'+ driveway.  We mentioned that we needed to wait for our bank to confirm our home equity line and he was patient.  We scheduled a date two weeks out and he confirmed two days before that they were on schedule.  The large uniformed crew showed up 15 minutes early on paving day, got right to work, kept the work area clean, and got the job done in about seven hours (two ahead of schedule).  The driveway looks great and has performed as promised for the first month of service.  The only complaint that I could even think of mentioning is that it would have been great to have a one page hand-out on how to care for the new driveway.  Although Harry verbally filled us in on most things, the internet was a wealth of knowledge about the things that we needed to be cautious of.

Excellent. They came within a day or 2 to do the quote. About 2 weeks later I ask them to do the job. They came 2 days later and started early. They scrapped down bad areas and pitched the driveway away from the garage to help with water flow. The nice part was they used their paving machine to lay down the crusher run and then rolled it down. It looks just like a paved driveway. They widened areas I requested and suggested ideas from there experience. They were professional and were like working with friends. I highly recommend them.
