two guys showed up to do a job that normally takes one guy to do in under an hour. they proceeded to say that they didn't have the right equipment to do the job even though they had a truck full of electrical supplies. One of them left for over an hour. The other guy stayed and sat down and did nothing besides smoking cigarettes on my property. The other guy finally came back. It took them almost the entire day to do this job and hence the job was grossly overpriced becaused they charged me for hours and hours of labor. Never, ever using them again,

When they came out, they walked around the outside, went inside, and checked the breaker panel. There wasn't visible electrical damage, but our lights were flashing, so there was obviously something wrong. They checked the meter by the road and found no damage, so they pulled out this U-shaped gizmo and walked back and forth with it looking for underground electrical leaks. They identified a couple of electrical leaks, both of which we were aware of. They were concerned about the leak near the barn and wanted to dig. Several times during their inspection, they made comments that we should replace the copper cables with aluminum, and one of the men made the remark twice that you can get a lot for copper these days, while grinning, as though they intended to resell it. We've always been told by electricians that copper cable is better, which is why it costs more. They spent a long time walking around the property and only one of the men actually did anything, the other guy just followed. It was late in the day, so they said they wanted to come back tomorrow, which was fine. They came back the next day with big trucks and equipment wanting to dig up the cable across our horse pasture. We had no idea they were going to make such a project out of it. The man said the leak and cable were 30 inches underground, so we thought they'd use a shovel... We asked them to leave and did not want them to dig up the property with that equipment. They ended up billing us $1215 for inspecting my home, using that U-shaped tool to look for underground leaks, and for installing our surge protector. They did not inform us of any additional charges for using the tool, nor did they say they were going to excavate our property with heavy machinery. He installed the surge protector fine and with no problems, but I feel the two men were extremely unprofessional in their approach to inspecting the outdoor leaks and in their complete lack of informing us of the charges or equipment they planned to bring.
Response from SULLIVAN ELECTRIC

"We at Sullivan Electric are very disappointed to hear about the troubles you say have experienced. If it wasn't for the recent posting that was made we would have never known there was a problem.I wish they would have contacted me directly so we could have resolved this issue but no such attempts were made. How can one fix a problem or make a customer happy with no communications ? Robert Sullivan"

They arrived within the time period that we were given. They were pleasant and friendly. They pulled out the stove and removed the old plug, then they found out they did not have the one they needed on the truck. They said that they would come back after they had finished another job, and they would pick up the right box. They returned after lunch and replaced the plug, turned the electric for the stove back on, and pushed it back to the wall where it was supposed to go, and it fit perfectly. Again they came back when they said they would and were pleasant about everything.
