Ken did an outstanding job installing our new furnace and chimney liner. Ken had previously done several smaller plumbing jobs for us, giving us great confidence that he?d do a great job installing our new furnace and liner. He didn?t disappoint us. You can tell that Ken takes great pride in his work, and we felt that at every turn, he went above and beyond for us. He carefully thought out what needed to be done, and he patiently explained his plan to us. Ken worked well into the evening to get our heat on as soon as possible. He kept us up-to-date on the progress, and when the installation was complete, he took the time to explain how the new system works. Ken is a pro. He is personable, knowledgeable, hardworking, even-tempered, responsive, and dependable. We will continue working with Ken, and without any reservation we highly recommend him.

Our well water tested for iron and low ph which was staining our pool and hot tub.  We spent months researching before we settled on using Ken Massa.  Everything was installed in one day and we are very happy with the results.
Before we did this our water had a metallic odor and did not taste very good.  The filtration system that Ken put in changed all that. Ken is a consummate professional who is very knowledgeable and is easy to work with.  We highly recommend Ken Massa and will use him in the future for all our plumbing needs.

Ken explained all aspects of the job, and that was appreciated.Replaced tub faucet,and it's working fine now.Would definitely use Ken if any more plumbing problems arise.

Ken was great- arrived at my house within 90 minutes of my first call.  I wasn't sure why the water wasn't working but assumed it had to do with the extremely low temperatures and the fact that no one had been at the house for a while.  after checking all the basement pipes he determined it must be at the meter out by the street.  He helped locate the meter access panel and dig it out from under a lot of snow and ice, then thawed it out with something that looked like a portable jet engine.  Was very knowledgable and had all the equipment in his truck ready to go.  Would definitely call him again for anything plumbing related.

No problems. New homeowner and Ken was very informative about the HVAC system.

Kitchen sink and bath tub were draining slow. Ken suspected a clogged line and cleared it, as well as its roof vent stack. Now everything is draining as it should be, and I'm pleased. The man did his job, was extremely neat, courteous, knowledgeable, and competent. His price was fair, and I would hire him again, definitely. I highly recommend Ken Massa Plumbing and Heating.

This is the first time I used Angie's List, and it was a home run! Ken was above and beyond professional, reachable, reasonably priced AND he fixed my AC unit. I called Ken on a Friday evening , my central AC unit stopped working. When I checked my phone Sat AM, there was a text saying he would call that day. He did. He asked what the problem was, I explained and told him what I tried to do to fix it himself. He speculated on what the problem was. He was not able to get to me until Monday, we were in contact thru the weekend with the possibility, if he finished sooner than expected, he would be there. Came on Monday ,discovered the problem, had to get some new parts and returned later in the week to install them. AC works beautifully. He will be in my speed dial for any plumbing/AC/heating problems I have in the future .

I thought he did a great job! He and the person he brought with him were both very, very polite! I thought they did a wonderful job. I also thought their price was very fair for what they did! In addition to the repairs they went and got four filters and then installed them in the one they repaired as well as another. I will use them again in the future!

came early in the morning as requested and diagnosed problem. put in new pipe and repaired the drain problem. all done in a few hours. we are very pleased with the work done. Very friendly folks. we will hire again if we need more plumbing and heating services too.

Our three year old condensing gas boiler started to work intermittently on a Saturday morning, before finally failing around noon. We called our regular plumber who never responded (even days later) and then went to Angie's list where we found out about Ken Massa. Ken called us back within an hour and was over later in the afternoon. The boiler was in bad shape, with many parts that had failed. ( We learned later that the root cause was failed electronic control module (ECM) which basically fried about six other parts). He got it working intermittently, but was honest with us and recommended we not run it until he got all new parts installed (which occurred Tuesday). He wasn't able to replace the ECM until later the next week, which along with redoing the inlet and out vent pipes, finally fixed the problem. Ken was always available throughout this time and went out of his way to pick up the needed parts. The failure we had is common in this model of boiler and requires a skilled craftsman with a lot of patience and knowledge to fix properly. Ken Massa is that guy. We will be using him for all our plumbing and heating needs in the future.

Ken arrived on time for both estimate and job. Work was completed efficiently and work areas were totally cleaned up. Very satisfied with everything and will use this company again. Highly recommend.

I called Ken at 6:00 on a Friday night, thinking there was no way this guy would call me back until Monday. To my (pleasant) surprise, he called me back within minutes and offered to come that evening. I told him the morning would be fine, I could live without hot water for one night. He and Dave came the next day. To my pleasant surprise (again), he informed me that the pilot light had gone out (perhaps due to wind coming down the chimney). He re-lit the pilot light, made sure it was good and strong, and put a cap on the side pipe that he said was dripping slightly (thus the water). He explained how everything worked and assured me that the water heater was in good shape for another 5 years or so. In the end, he gave me a reduced price because he said he didn't do that much. I really appreciated it - he could easily have charged me more. Now my hot water is back on, and I have the relief of knowing that I don't need a new $1500 water heater! I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. :)
