"It is very unfortunate to see this type of review under any circumstances. We believe in doing the right thing, every time, for every customer and we refer to this concept as "Integrity without compromise". It's just how we do business. To add some background to this review, please let me add the following information: We installed new equipment for this customer in April of 2005 with a 5-yr parts and labor warranty. The 1-yr Gold Service Plan in question was in place and expired in April of 2006. We have not performed any service of any type for this customer since January of 2007. At that time, we replaced a temperature sensor, cleaned the nozzle and electrodes, and purged air from the lines on their home heating system. All of this work was performed under warranty and the customer was billed only a diagnostic and travel fee of $75 which to this day remains unpaid. Our next and last contact with the customer was in October of 2011 when the client requested to purchase parts from us for a self-diagnosed repair. We are a service and repair company, not a parts distributor. In general, we install what we sell. Since it is not common practice for us to sell parts on their own, we agreed to do so only if the customer agreed to clear up the past due balance on the account at the same time. We never received a response to this offer and have not heard from the customer again in any capacity until this misleading review appeared on our profile. Regrettably, we do not seem to be the appropriate service provider for this client. However, we believe strongly in our people and their ability to bring high quality customer service and expertise to our customers on every visit."
From my first contact with One Hour to my most recent, I have had nothing but an extremely satisfactory experience. All staff I have had contact with are pleasant, helpful, and professional. When scheduling my appt. for an A/C tune-up, I was given an arrival time window of 8:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. on May 8, and Chris arrived at 8:40 a.m. I am the second owner of a 4 year old house. Since this was my first time for HVAC maintenance, I had a lot of questions. Chris took the time to answer all of my questions, and recommended an energy conserving device ($300) to get the most from my system. I chose to have him install it at that time, and he also performed the A/C tune-up. I also joined the "Comfort Club" which offers discounts to members on routine and emergency services this date ($199 for the year which will also cover furnace tune-up in the fall).
The first time I used the system after this visit (over Memorial Day weekend), despite the thermostat being set to 70, I awoke to a 55-degree house! I called May 27, explained the problem, and a tech was sent the very same day even though I indicated it was not an emergency. The scheduled time was for "around noon" and the tech (Andrew) arrived at 11:55 a.m. He was here for two hours and thoroughly tested every component (including the black box, furnace CPU, and thermostat) and was only able to recreate the problem I had experienced on the first run-through. After several more trials, he did determine that all components were now functioning as to be expected, and told me he believed it could have been due to either the CPU or thermostat but that all appeared to be well. He also explained what steps I should take if the problem re-occurs to be able to diagnose which component could be the culprit (to save on diagnostic charges in the future). The diagnostic charge for this visit was waived due to it being the first time after tune-up that the problem had occurred which I thought was very, very fair.
All in all, I would rate this as the best experience I have ever had with an HVAC contractor in all the years I've owned a home. They are professional, responsive, timely, pleasant, and more than willing to answer any questions. I would highly recommend their services (and have).
