New Life Landscaping

My experience with New Life Landscaping (NLL) has been an absolute nightmare. We agreed to do the work over seven months ago but NLL has only done a de minimis amount of work, which is not even worth mentioning. NLL attributes the lack of performance to weather but that is hardly believable since there have been plenty of days of good weather since reaching the agreement. On more than one occasion, NLL failed to show up despite providing specific start dates. Even worse is NLL's lack of common courtesy to advise me that they weren't coming. With regard to the fence, I was unable to get a building permit because NLL did not have workers compensation insurance and NLL's promise to obtain a waiver never came true. In summary, I gave NLL a deposit of close to $7,000 and we have nothing to show for it other than a pile of gravel and a patio without the bricks that were previously there. This is a hard lesson learned and I hope that no one has to go through the same experience.
