D & M Tile and Marble

Kenny Milner did a beautiful job of carefully removing broken ceramic tiles without damage to surrounding tiles. He filled in spaces under surrounding tiles where the slip had been carelessly spread. The carelessness was the reason the corners of the ceramic tiles were so fragile. He moved grout from all the tiles, replaced it. His work was fast, professional, neat. I will recommend him to all my friends and contractors I might know. He responded much more quickly than other companies to requests for estimates and insurance. He arrived at all appointments on time. We were desperate to get the job done, so I paid him more than his usual fees. But it was worth it.

Fast and efficient work. Personal touch. We experienced several stumbling blocks in working the rules and regulations of our building, but D & M were honest and patient. Very pleased with their professionalism and work. Would definitely recommend them and hire again.

The top 2 rows of tile in my brand new shower were a different shade of white. I'm not going to go into the details of why and how this happened, but I needed to fix it. I found Kenny on Angie's List and hired him based on his reviews. He by far exceeded my expectations. He was prompt, efficient, reasonable and just a really nice person. My shower now looks perfect. I would hire him again in a second.

Kenny did a terrific job. My tile was a bit unusual with no regular, geometic, regular pattern. It has a splotchy effect running through it to give it a look of an ancient ruin! It required someone who understood the artistic feeling of it, and could make decisions on how to lay it out so that it looks its best. Kenny did this easily. I was really happy with the way he worked, and he inspired confidence.

Kennie was nothing short of excellent.  I was struggling with a color tile.  Kennie suggested white.  Perfect.  White allowed me to show off by pottery serving dishes of different colors which enlivened the entire kitchen area.  Besidesd, his cleanup was better than mine would have been!!!  And besides he is just a "nice guy" with talent.

Kenny was able to come in quickly to scope out this 1 day job fairly quickly.  He identified the issue and had an estimate within the day.  Job was done professionally and Kenny responded to request with color of grout immediately.  Pleasure to deal with Kenny.

We're very happy with the results.  The glass tiles for the backsplash look great and Kevin was able to fix some crooked tiles in our bathroom.  Kevin was also very nice to work with and I enjoyed chatting with him as i did other work in the home.

AMAZING!!!  Intricate and precise tiling of my kitchen.  Difficult job involving glass tile.  And not only a job well done, but EXTREMELY clean.  The are was left in the same condition from before the work was done.  No dust etc.  Complete professional job!  Highly recommended.

He was flexible about scheduling (it was an office building so he came in over the weekend). He was also flexible with pricing. The pricing was great, very reasonable and the work was done well. Kevin was prompt , courteous , professional and communicative and a skilled craftsman. I wish that all crafts people were like him. Although a messy job you wouldn't know it when he was finished. The kitchen was a neat and clean as a pin. I would highly recommend him.

Ken Milner raises the bar for professional service contract work in NYC. A skilled craftsman with a good eye for aesthetics and detail, Ken takes the time and care required to deliver a sound final product with tile-work and installation.  The job at hand involved some old tile removal, mud-bed repair, building-in a step, waterproofing, sink and toilet replacement (with his trusted plumbing team), some tile-over-tile replacement, new granite door saddle, and installation of replacement fixtures for towels, glass shelf, and toilet paper roll. Very competitively priced, Ken ensures an open line of communication with his customers, and checks-in frequently by telephone to ensure that the job is progressing satisfactorily as it proceeds ? so as to make certain that everyone stays on the same page while progressing to completion.  As with many contractors that take on several jobs simultaneously during construction-season, Ken confirms the next work-day ahead of time, and calls if there is a change in schedule.  While we understood that there could very well be some project scope changes mid-way through the project, Ken made sure that we knew of potential upcoming issues, and never conveyed that our job was less important than any other he was working-on. Fortunately, minor change-orders were built into our project scope and budget. This Jackson Heights job involved an extensive re-tile (ceramic) of a half-bath with shower ? and was beautifully completed with a new granite tile floor in less than two weeks. Tile, fixtures, and sink were pre-purchased and supplied to the contractor.

I renovated my entire basment and decided to tile the floor, I recieved quotes from several different companies but found that they were all very expensive and none were willing to work with my budget. After months of searching I heard about D & M Tile and Mable through a friend of a friend who had been very pleased with their service. I took her advice and I can honestly say I have never regreted it!!! Kenny was great, he worked within my budget and completed the work in a time frame that suited me. He arrived on time every morning with his men and they didn't leave until everything was clean and tidy in the evening. I was absolutely delighted with the end result and it was a pleasure to have this crew working in my home!!! I highly reccomend this company and would definitely use them again in the future.
