VILLAGE PLUMBING & HEATING CO

After using their services for many years ($4000+ receipts), we were treated disrespectfully. My husband went into the establishement thinking they could be of help in locating a plumbing part. While the front office workers were very polite, the owner was nasty and said to my husband, he didn't have to help him and to leave. When my husband told me what had happened, I called and informed the owner that we have been a long time customer and because of his rude behavior we would not be using their services anymore.

I called them to deal with a leaky toilet tank. What a massive turnoff! This company is taking advantage of the pandemic to charge outrageous prices. First the plumber and apprentice show up. He asks me to explain what is happening. I go to explain and he interrupts and tells me to explain. Am I not doing that? Perhaps you should practice listening. Then he talks to me like I am a simpleton because he is not seeing the leak, even though I explain it will not happen immediately. He tells me the toilet does not have a brain to decide when to leak. I was furious. What a crock! You come into my home and I am telling you what is going on and you don't want to listen to me, and talk to me like I am a simpleton? Next he says I have two choices. (1) replace the toilet altogether or (2) replace all the parts inside. I asked for a quote on each. The gave me a quote for $995 + tax to replace it. To replace the parts, $650. I asked for the price if I buy my own toilet, they quoted $550 to install. This is ROBBERY. The tank parts cost less than $40 to replace. So you want to charge me $550-600 for the hour? I AM DISGUSTED!!! Not just that, they charged me $150 + tax service charge fee just to come out and look. ***??!!! $75 would have been reasonable - but $150???!!!! The damned plumber would not even move paper towels I had on the floor to sop up the water that leaked from the tank. He asked me to move it. He acted as if he was scared to touch anything. GTFOOH! Village Crooks indeed. Give them a miss. This is the last time I will ever engage this company. To charge such outrageous prices during this pandemic when people are hurting financially is inexcusable.

I have used them quite a few times and I am amazed but their price was very expensive. They did the job for two hours. They were prompt, very professional in coming out and they did a good work. I would use them again in the future.

On our own we found out that the sewer line did not have anything to do with the leak. The leak problem was the result of a backed-up gutter.  The boiler problem was not an issue. The water from the boiler was an typical event. 

Although the call wasn't an emergency, a workman was at my house within half an hour of my phone call.  He introduced himself, wearing company livery, looked at the situation, called the office for a price, and did the job, carefully and efficiently as far as I could tell.  No particular complaints except that it cost over $200 for a small part and twenty minutes' labor.

I found them through a verbal recommendation from my autobody shop that is located close to their storefront. Given that it was a walk-in, I was pleasantly surprised by their front-office staff that was professional and personable. They humored my 50 rapid fire technical questions in a way that made me feel like they were on the level and were a no-BS kind of place. What they know they know and what they don't, they tell you. The real plus though was that they gave me an estimate from my verbal description (old hot water heater/basement unseen) that was the least expensive of the 3 estimates I procured and had no contingency clauses. [They know their business with hot water heaters since they do this scores of times monthly]. Even better, they could get the part and to my house on the same day, although we scheduled it for the following day. While this is not the place to sort out alternative and sustainable energy solutions (solar, etc.) this is the place to find plumbers with great service, cost-effectiveness, and competence [at least for hot water heaters]. I would use them again.

They were great. They did what they said they were going to do, for the price that they said. They cleaned up really nicely. Anything that went wrong they took care of right away. They are an older company that has been around forever, and they know what they are doing. The water heater has worked perfect.

Village showed up when scheduled and got the job done without a hitch.

I was basically satisfied with the work that Village Plumbing and Heating has done. Plumbers charge a lot. I already had a faucet but he didn't recommend installing it. He did come back and install another faucet for me. He was a basically nice guy. I really think they charge too much.

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS COMPANY FOR PLENTY OF YEARS. THE WORKERS ARE VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY REPAIR AND REPLACE ANYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH THE FURNACE IMMEDIATELY. THE SYSTEM BLOWS AND RUNS VERY GOOD.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THE SERVICES THAT VILLAGE PLUMBING PROVIDED. THE WORKERS ARE PUNCTUAL AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY LEFT ME WITH LIQUID FORMULA JUST IN CAUSE A SITUATION LIKE THIS HAPPENS AGAIN.

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR THE PAST TWENTY-FIVE YEARS. THEY ARE RESPONSIVE AND EASY TO COMMUNICATE WITH. THEY ARE ENGLISH SPEAKING. THEY COME OUT ON TIME AND CLEAN UP ANY MESS THAT THEY MAKE.

THE WORKERS RAN A SNAKE DOWN THE SINK, AND PULLED OUT A CLOG OF GOOK. THE SERVICES VILLAGE PLUMBING PROVIDED WAS GREAT. AS A CUSTOMER, THEY TREATED ME WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT AND DIGNITY.

THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY PUNCTUAL AND HAVE CONSISTENTLY DONE GOOD WORK FOR ME FOR QUITE SOME TIME. I LIKE THAT THEY ARE EASY TO WORK WITH AND CAN ALWAYS COME OUT QUICKLY EVEN IF I DON'T HAVE AN EMERGENCY.
