"I am surprised and taken back by this negative comment from this client. I'd like to start off by saying that this client's husband is a friend of mine. He asked me to complete the work on his home, as he was familiar with the quality of my work. I initially declined, and tried to find another contractor to do the work for them, as I was not licensed in Nassau county at the time. However, I couldn't find a contractor who would do all of the work required for such a low price. Therefore, I applied for, and obtained my Nassau county contractor's license, prior to starting the job. This job was done under a 203k bank loan, as such, there is no way the bank would have allowed me to conduct the work on the house without being licensed in Nassau county. My friend, the stated clients husband, was aware of this. There were several requests made of me and my workers that were not part of the bank approved work, however, as a favor for a friend, I performed the work, at no extra charge. The bank inspected the work upon completion and it was to their satisfaction. On completion I was paid in full by the bank for the work that was done. To address the accusation of the patches on the wall, these patches were the result of cracks in the wall that occurred long after we completed the work on the house. They were not a result of our work. We did, however, agree to remedy the issue, again, at no extra cost to said client. We asked the client to purchase the matching paint, however, they failed to do so, therefore we were unable to complete the task. In response to the door issue, I will admit that one of our workers did place a small screw hole where the lock goes, in the door. I advised the client that we would both repair the door AND compensate her, which we did. The client didn't seem to take issue with this proposal, therefore it's surprising that its being brought up on this forum. We take pride in our contracting company, and customer satisfaction is key to our business. To view our work, please visit our website: mokenhomeimprovement.com."
