Kabinet King

I recently had my kitchen remodeled. I purchased Starmark cabinets through Kabinet King located on Hillside Ave. in Queens Village and used their contracting company Paramount Piping for the remodeling of my kitchen. I could not be happier with the results of my kitchen. Working with Sabrina and Bill from Kabinet King in the planning stages up to the remodeling stages with Tony the Contractor and his crew from Paramount Piping was a pleasure. My design specialist Sabrina was so knowledgeable in laying out the kitchen and Bill's measurements were so accurate and precise. I had a crew of six men (Ray, Henry, Gio, George, Willie and Hymie) working on my kitchen and each and everyone of them were friendly, professional, and experienced in their craft. They took such pride in their work and at the end of this project it certainly showed. Also, let's not forget they were always on time and cleaned up after each day. They even made some suggestions and ideas, too, that I just loved. I highly recommend Kabinet King and Paramount Piping Contracting Company, for anyone who intends to have their kitchen remodeled. You wont have any regrets.

Very satisfied, the folks at kabinet king were diligent, tried to save us money and very helpful with there suggestions. They came up with really innovative solutions, we didn't have a lot of room and wanted a lot of storage. We hit a few measurement snags , but the crew @ Kabinet King took it in stride and fixed everything. Kitchen looks great thanks to the experience of their employees and my wife's good taste. Will use again for another more ambitious kitchen down the road. FYI kitchen isn't totally completed yet , but you get the idea.

The team at Kabinet King was extremely responsive and professional and worked with me to get the right design and choose from their cabinet and countertop options. Thry are very clear and upfront about delivery timelines and their installers do a very good job. My apt kitchen had a lot of details do to the shape of the kitchen and the work was high quality and easy for them to accommodate my needs

I shopped extensively among different kitchen cabinet dealers, settling on Kabinet King for their broad selection and knowledgeable staff. Greg was my main contact and he is about the most knowledgeable person I've met when it comes to cabinets and explained every detail to me. He is extremely patient and talented. The designer, Troy, handled all the details of the layout perfectly without a hitch. Michael came to my apartment to take measurements and he was very accurate and careful, marking the water line, and a funky wall indentation. After the installation, we noticed that one cabinet had a crack in the front and Jessica at Kabinet King did an amazing job of contacting the manufacturer and getting me a replacement cabinet at no cost. Greg also offered countertop fabrication through a third party fabricator Kabinet King uses. The fabrication was perfect. In addition, everyone at Kabinet King was extra-ordinarily helpful whenever I called and also helped me select colors for the cabinet and countertop. I was so pleased that I referred KK to my friends.

I purchased $11,100.66 worth of semi-custom white Waypoint kitchen cabinets  from Kabinet King on 5/14/15 from salesman Michael.  Part of the order was $417 worth of 2.5" crown molding which I was not able to use due to ceiling being uneven.  If Michael had told me this could present a problem when he sold me the cabinets,  I would not have bought it.  When I tried to return it, he said his boss at Kabinet King would not take it back.  I also wrote an email to Karen at Kabinet King complaining about this but no one ever called or answered my email.  I just want to point out that I'm very happy w/the cabinets.  My new kitchen is beautiful even though our carpenter had to put in square molding in place of the crown molding.  I just feel that in the interest of good customer service, they should take back the unused crown molding & reimburse me.  I am willing to deliver it back to them.

The laborers who came in were amazing. They worked fast, neat and if we had a question, they explained it clearly. They were on time and before they left for the day, their work area was clean and tidy. I'd use the laborers again for another renovation in the future. ?Highly recommended.

Very impressed with the service. The quality and price of the cabinets were very good. After delivering the cabinets we had a small problem, my microwave did not fit in the allotted space. I was upset after spending and spending on the renovation (not just the kitchen). The owner came by our house and was very professional and offered us a solution.
Very pleased with the design suggestions that were offered and the final results.

The salesman in the showroom was fine.  Very helpful, polite and professiional.  I would give him an "A" or "B".  However the installation was a different story.  When the man came to take measurements and discuss options he took three phone calls which I thought was rude.  During the installation they made two scrapes on the kitchen wall, taking the paint off.  When it came time to install the backsplash I was informed that the measurements taken originally were wrong so they had to come back the next day to finish up.  I wonder if he took the wrong measurements because he was distracted by taking three phone calls.  Instead of putting everything back on the counter that night I had to wait until the next day for them to come back and install the backsplash.  Taking the wrong measurements, in my opinion, was unprofessional and there was no excuse for it.  I would give the installation process a "D".

Things went well with this project, I hired Kabinet King to template my cabinets (that I installed myself) and create an engineered stone countertop (Cambria). They have an adequate showroom with many samples of different material to choose from. I also wanted a matching windowsill to be made out of the same material, which they took care of. Troy was very easy to work with, and took care of the details of scheduling and logistics. The guys who came to install the countertop were punctual and professional. Overall, I am satisfied with the experience I had with Kabinet King.

It has been a smooth transaction except for a couple of flaws in their level of customer service. Melinda helped me thought out the design process and placed my order. My cabinets were delivered and when my contractor started installing them, we noticed that we had a couple of missing items one being my double door pantry. When I called them to let them know of the situation, instead of apologizing they became rather rude. It took me a couple of phone calls back and forth until they realized that my missing cabinets were sitting in their warehouse. They delivered my missing items in a couple of days and I was able to finally finish my kitchen. I am happy with the quality of the cabinets and satisfied overall but I think it will be better if they sharpen their customer service skills a little more.

The technician who came out helped us a lot in deciding whether to go with custom cabinets or stock cabinets. We decided to go with stock cabinets and went to their showroom to look at them and were helped by someone else at their company. When the cabinets were delivered the insides of the cabinets were not stained and we could not get them to correct the issue. We were told because we ordered the cabinets from another store our order got messed up. We spoke with our original technician again on the phone and he was rude. Other things that we ordered did not show up so we had to wait a week to actually get the complete set of material we ordered. They were supposed to call us to come over and stain the parts of the cabinets that needed it, but they have not called yet.

Ideal overall. I have some experience with cabinetry in my residential real estate work. I have used IKEA cabinets which are no comparison to Kabinet King's offerings. I have also used lower grade wood cabinets and these are worth every penny. Beautiful features like soft close drawers and sturdy shelf support. Marty was fair and accomodated our budget as best he could given all of our desires. We renovated our apt and after dealing with many vendors (plumbers, contractors, etc.) communication is the most important thing for me. Marty and his staff responded promptly and with clarity. Communication and quality cabinetry...what more can you ask for? Please note I priced another competitor and he seemed to be in the ballpark for these cabinets. However, he did not give me a detailed estimate and I spent at least two weeks begging for one. That would never happen with Marty at Kabinet King, he wants your business and appreciates it.

We came in to the showroom in hillside. Saudia took our rough measurements and showed us all our design and price options. She was very helpful and professional and didnt give us any sales pressure. We then scheduled for them to come in and do an actual measurement. When the owner came and measured our kitchen he made a few suggestions that made great sense and got adopted into the final design. Now I have a brand new kitchen with the storage, design and functionality I needed. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Marty was very helpful with the selection process. He listened to what we wanted and made suggestions. The vanity was ready on time and looks great. When we ordered various trim pieces and found that we didn't need them all, there was no problem returning them for a full refund.
When it was time to measure for the counter top,a man was sent to the house, he made a template and told us it would take about 7-10 days to cut. He seemed very knowledgable and careful going over the specs twice with us. The counter top is scheduled to be delivered next week.

I was looking for a budget cabinet for an investment property that I was selling. The quality had to be suffiecnt. Kabinet King offers different levels of quality depending on your budget. There lower priced cabinet line offered reasonable quality with differend door styles and finishes. The kitchen was available for delivery in 3 days which was sooner than I needed. The gentleman that I dealt with, Able, was very responsive and professional.

I plan on using Kabinet King on my future houses.

I selected the cabinets. My contractor had come to my home and took measurements. He then met me at Kabinet King and gave the measurements to the salesman.

We walked in to this store that is close to our home by chance. We had just come back from other cabinet makers, independent and chain stores. This little store was a great find! The service was professional, and the workers there, especially Melinda knew what she was talking about when it came to cabinetry. I could tell she was very experienced as she was able to address my needs specifically and help me find the best possible quality for my budget. The facility has great software for cabinet design on a big screen so it was easy for us to see, unlike other stores where we weren't able to see design options. The store was also very very organized, neat and clean, which I appreciate and I could tell they were very organized because they never had a problem finding anything, even when i came back 2 weeks later to pick up an invoice. The cabinets came promptly and Melinda was very good about calling me at every step. This store provided us the BEST price out of all the other options, the best price for the cabinets and our granite countertop as well. We are also ordering cabinet accessories from them such as pull out shelving.

Overall, we are very pleased with the service on top of receiving the best price for the cabinets and countertop. The cabinets we received were better quality than other stores would have provided for this price range.

Fast Forward two years later, 8/5/11. One of the hinges dislodged from the wood and I'm in need of a replacement, it was no fault of the cabinet as I was careless one night and ended up trying to close the cabinet which was too full and thus broke the hinge out of its socket in the cabinet door. I called 3 times to ask about repairs, and I was never informed about how to go about it. I kept leaving messages and no one would call back. I finally had to call back (the 4th time) and Troy informed me that they don't send anyone out to perform repairs and we have to remove the door ourselves and bring it into the showroom and they will determine what needs to be done from there. This is pretty inconvenient for us, since we don't even know how to remove the door. This was disappointing considering the excellent service we received when we were purchasing. I have not yet returned with he door.
