Ye Olde Faithful Chimney Service

This company responded immediately to my phone message for service, and performed the work within 1 week of my call. The person who came to my house was professional, very knowledgeable and thorough. Got my chimney up to speed for the Winter.

We recently bought an older house (1946) that had a working chimney that hadn't been used in years. It was in dire need of a cleaning and a cap. Sean came initially to clean and inspect the chimney. He cleaned it wonderfully, with no mess in our house. He then went on the roof, took pictures, and came back down to explain to me in detail while showing me pictures. He gave me a few options, and I decided on the more expensive lock-top cap. He said he would order it, and we could set up a weekend appointment when it came in. He called me a few days later to let me know it was on its way, and again a few days after that to tell me it was in. He came promptly and finished the work quickly. I am extremely happy with this company and will be using them in the future. Sean is extremely courteous, professional and competent. His prices were reasonable.

At first he said it needed to be replaced, but when I explained to him how I had fixed it 8 years ago, he went on up and did the same thing. He arrived either a little early or on time, was extremely pleasant, and fixed the problem. When I get the money to replace the cap I will definitely call him back to do the job. I would also highly recommend the company. I hated to pay $75 for something I could do myself, but with snow and ice on the roof, I decided to call in the professionals.

I had been having problems for sometime with smoke and not getting a good fire and I had it cleaned several months prior by another company, but I wasn't really satisfied and didn't feel they did a good job. Anyway, a friend recommended ye olde faithful and they came on time and I must say very professional and informative and without rushing the process. Apparently, I know this because they showed me everything. I had severe build up of creosote and had a chimney fire in their, at some point. They cleaned the whole flue, from top too bottom, with a special cleaning rod and spent almost 2 hrs getting it all off. At the end, I was willing and expecting to obviously, pay more for extra work, but the owner Sean said, since I was a new customer, it was the same price & that now we would be doing business together, for a long time. I'm happy to say, I will be using them every time, from here on out & I will recommend them to everyone I know. This is how a professional runs his business.

The company came on time to give me an estimate of the work that was to be done. The work was scheduled and they came on time to do the job. The person that did the job was knowledgeable and did excellent work.

They promptly returned my phone call, scheduled within a week. The sweep laid down heavy drop cloths to protect my floors and furniture. Were careful not to track ash or water. It was raining that day. My chimney was extremely dirty, and filled their heavy-duty vacuum. He was concerned that it was in dangerous condition, and my husband noted that they were taking out chunks that were loosened by the vacuum, but too large to fit in the vacuum. The sweep noted a stain on the front mantel. When we mentioned that our first fire generated smoke inside the house, he recommended we go out and purchase a smoke guard. He said it would be cheaper for us to purchase ourselves than to order through him. He measured our fireplace so that we could order one ourselves. The smoke guard seems to have helped. Prompt communicator, on-time scheduling, neat, attention to cost & knowledgeable. Whats not to love?

Work was done well and on time. The price was competitive, and accurate. Very pleasant experience. A great service!

THIS COMPANY HAD GREAT SUGGESTIONS TO KEEP THE REPAIR ECONOMICAL. THIS TYPICAL MESSY REPAIR WAS DONE EXTREMELY CLEAN BY THE STAFF AND WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE THAT THEY PROVIDED ME WITH. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE AND THEY DID NOT TRY TO 'SELL' ME ADDITIONAL CARE. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND VERY CLEAN.
