Sundance worked when they wanted to - the left the job unfinished for weeks at a time- Scott took several  vacations during my project.

 The original quote was for corn blasting the entire home / he persuaded me to sand blast instead - big mistake . The finish of the logs after sand blasting was rough. The entire home had to be refinished.( redo at my expense )

While sand blasting , the overblast removed the finish from the non log trim on the home. the trim had to be sanded and painted ( cost $3800.00 at my expense) The over blast also etched a window and a door ( cost for replacement $950.00 at my expense )

They sand blasted a  deck and applied stain without cleaning the sand residue off the deck. ( redo at my expense )

The crew did not clean up after sandblasting - sand was left around the exterior of the home ( cleanup at my expense )

During the log siding replacement phase of the project, the crew  put several large hole in an interior bedroom wall ( 10 inches by 2 feet ) - and did not tell us about it ( cost to repair $1200 at my expense ).
 The crew also broke a newly installed window  less than 1 month old (cost to repair $900.00 at my expense ) , again he failed to mention anything.
  Scott Trump attempted to use log siding with insect holes . After I confronted him ,he reluctantly removed the log siding and used the proper quality . Chinking was improperly installed ( no backer rod ) / not installed in about half of the areas he worked on which resulted in interior water leaks.

In summary , Sundance Log Home Services offers poor quality work , does not adhere an estimates , lackadaisical , I don't care attitude and a total disregard for his costumers.

 I have worked with many contractors both professionally and personally - Sundance log home services is by far the worst !

The work was not all bad, but their unresponsiveness to problems was terrible. The owner, Scott Trump, did a fine job on the log replacement, but the window finishing inside was not great and the exterior chinking was poorly applied by a novice that he sent to finish the job after it stood unfinished for many weeks. The chinking didn't match the rest of the house and separated immediately. Scott never came to fix it, although he has said he would. He and his crew did a good job on my roof, but left the gutter hanging. When my sister-in-law hired him around the same time, he sent his brother, Gary Trump, to put a new roof on her house. Sundance Log Home Service guaranteed their work for two years; her roof started leaking within months and he did not repond to her concerns. Several times he promised to come at an appointed time and never showed -- she had to take him to small claims court and he didn't show up there either.
