I signed up with Vector Security, paid over $3,500, and had a professional home security system installed, expecting reliable protection. From the outset, the system underperformed: cameras frequently went offline, sensors failed to trigger, and live monitoring was inconsistent. Despite monthly technician visits, the company was unable to diagnose or fix the persistent issues. Throughout this period, I continued to be billed for a system that simply did not work. I made numerous support requests and spoke with multiple representatives, but no permanent fix or refund was offered. While I appreciate that technicians showed up, polite communication alone did not resolve the critical failures. My home remains unprotected, and I?ve wasted significant time coordinating service calls and disputing charges. I have to say I have had nothing but trouble with company from the start from the sales team to the installation was absolutely horrible. there customer service team is nothing great to speak about as well. there wireless system is subpar to say the least and disconnects on a daily 8 to 10 times a day. As well there camera system is so far behind ages. It is horrible. there system went bad for 3 months they refused to credit my account they then terminated my account and trying to charge me termination costs. i have to say criminal is the word " theft of services". STAY AWAY!!!!

When the company was owned by Mr. Hammond, it was great. A person always answered the phone with the first or second ring. There was a real sense that there was a local person available in a time of emergency. Since the acquisition by Vector, the company has become corporate. There is a call center in PA. More often than not, the call goes right to a recorded message to hold for the next representative. The staff are still very responsive, albeit once they are on the line. However, the staff is very far away. One of my favorite things about a local call center was the remote temperature and electricity monitoring. When we were not home and there was a snowstorm, hurricane, flood, etc, the representative knew about it. If we are the only family without electricity in our region, then that creates an entirely different dilemma for us as the homeowner. Most importantly, I find that Vector uses deceptive contracts. This is a common corporate trick,but is still reprehensible. The acknowledgement sheet that you are handed when repairs and servicing have been done is now a contract that locks you in for FIVE years. It took three readings for me to spot the wording: I am not talking about an obvious lock in contract. This is disgusting behavior and thoroughly tainted my impression of how these people do business. Overall, I would avoid them. They are corporate rats.

So far, so good. The way they have it set up is if even if someone clips the lines outside, there is an inside battery that sends a signal to them. They monitor the system pretty well. The times I’ve called them, they are almost always responsive and have someone out right away. They will contact the police if they can’t come right away.
