SCHMALING GLASS INC

Very poorly. I called on 8/14 to schedule an appointment for 8/20. The woman who answered was rude and would not commit but said she would get back to me on the 17th. Never did. Called later in the day to the same rude individual who was annoyed by my call. She explained that I was on the schedule tor Thursday but would not commit to a time. She said she would call back later. Never did. Today, the 20th, I was at the property waiting but no show. Terrible experience. Particularly annoying because it is clear this long established has gone downhill.

Our shower was rebuilt and Schmaling was hired to install sliding glass doors. It took a month to get installation. The rollers and track broke a few years later. It took a month to get a repair. The doors bit each other at the time of repair, noted by the installer who said that's how they work. The rollers and track broke again after just a few years. Called and on hold with two different people for 15 minutes, then asked to call me back. Never called. My conclusion shabby work and awful service.

We called the company few days early and had an estimate to replace the glass. We decided and went to the shop. The person in the office told us that required to contact two vendors and prices. We were surprised and ignored the price she quoted us early. We left her our contact # and name and call back after the holiday.  More than 2 weeks after the Easter Day, we still not hear from her at all. A simple way is to pick up the phone and call us, and give an explanation. Ignorance isn't a good way to do business. We spent time and gas went to the shop, but they don't have spend time to pick up the phone to call their customer. Not worth and waste our time!

We should have taken the hint when the company sent another person to re-measure the shower.  The installation was uneventful and we didn't notice the gap until much later.  Over a month ago we noticed the bottom sweeper peeling and eventually started calling.  The rest of the story is described above.
