Absolutely Do Not Trust ProSeptic – Scammers and Backyard Wreckers We hired ProSeptic to pump our septic tank. When they arrived, they claimed our leach field was failing and warned we could face fines if we didn’t replace it. Pressured, we agreed to a $10,000 job. Midway through, after tearing up our yard, they told us the system “wouldn’t work” and pushed a different one—for $30,000. We refused. What followed felt like sabotage. The work was sloppy, our yard was left a wreck, and our kids can’t even play back there anymore. It was fine before. It’s obvious they use bait-and-switch tactics: hook you with one price, then pressure you into paying much more. If you don’t cave, you’re left with garbage work. Avoid ProSeptic at all costs—they’re not just unprofessional, they’re predatory.

SCAMMERS! BEWARE! contacted them to clean septic. Came out to house instead of cleaning septic, told us we needed new leech field . Made appt for following weeks and said we needed to leave 500.00 deposit to save date. We Called night before to cancel due to family emergency, inquired about our deposit and was told it was Non refundable. NO where on reciet or on website does it say deposits are non refundable. Our friend , who is an engineer stopped by this morning to say hello. We told him what happened and he infomred us that we didnt need new leech field. Called them back to inquire about refund and they hung up on us and blocked our call, called a second time from different phone, again, they hung up and blocked that number too. Now taking it up w CC company and Better business bureau. Taking advantage of unknowing senior citizens... NOT COOL!

They came out cleaned the septic tank and told us that it needed to be replaced and also broke the cap cover that is made of solid cement. We had a second opinion done and we were told that the tank was perfectly fine. We tried calling them and left numerous messages but no-one ever called back. They even proceeded to block our home and cell numbers. I blocked my called ID and once I spoke to Amber she told me that they would not replace the cap and stood by their decision . A "gentleman" was given the phone and yelled the whole conversation and even proceeded to call me an ******* and hung up on me. I wrote a review on Google and the lied in their response saying the second review was a friend...if I had a friend in this business he would have done the service. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Read the other reviews, Im not the only one that they have treated this way

Pro Septic's truck leaked oil all over our newly sealed driveway. I had to call them to make them aware of the problem instead of the driver noticing. Pro Septic then sent a crew to put down absorbents, but never came back to clean up their mess. Pro Septic did not respond to multiple calls over multiple days requesting them to return to clean up their mess, but never even bothered to return our calls. DO NOT HIRE THEM.

Jason needs to know that one of his crew have serious anger (& mental) issues. My uncle and I had a terrible experience with them. We just wanted a quote. Jason sent his crazy, angry subs out to prospective clients like we were waiting in line at the DMV… Way to make the customer feel like their business is appreciated. This one guy of his (named "Eger" or "Edgar") needs to take a Prozac, like STAT. Why would you send an emotionally unstable sub out to give a quote to someone? We were calm, polite, courteous, and accommodating. We did nothing to provoke this raving lunatic. ProSeptic isn't "Pro" at all. If you read other reviews about Pro Septic in Poughkeepsie, you'll see for yourself. Total imbeciles.

Work was performed 4 months ago, and so far all is working well. They offered a lower cost alternative to other quotes we received from other companies. A friend who is a civil engineer came by while they were working and said everything they were doing was good.

We had a plugged septic system. We were pretty sure it was not the tank because we had it cleaned a couple of months ago. Had nothing but issues with a few “24 hour” emergency people who apparently choose which 24 hours they will come. We waited 4 long days! We reached out to Jason & got a response within a day. His crew came as promised 1st thing in the AM. Very personable. Explained everything and worked with us to keep the costs down. I would highly recommend them!

I called Pro Septic when I had problems with a septic tank that failed after being improperly installed by another contractor, and that contractor left me with a failing system and did not return my calls and did not return to correct the problems with their work (see separate review of Daley Sanitation Svc). Pro-Septic generally did a good job, they were punctual and professional and for the most part did a good installation and got the job done quickly. They diagnosed what was wrong and replaced a collapsing plastic septic tank with a new concrete one. They did a better job than the previous contractor, using a crew of 3 to 4 people at different stages of the job, installing a clean-out in the line, and finding and removing roots in the line. They also used concrete and cement on the pipe joints to ensure they stay in place (although the PVC pipe cement was not done to the full depth of the fittings), unlike the previous contractor that left all the joints on the previous tank loose and not cemented together, leaving them susceptible to pulling apart as the back-filled soil settled. This much of Pro-Septic's work was all good. There were a few shortcomings though, which is why I'm not giving Pro-Septic an A. The tank they replaced had been placed too close to my well (closer than permitted by code) by the previous contractor. I pointed this out to Jason and he said they could put the new tank further from the well (it needed to be 12 or 13 feet from where the previous tank was), but the installers put the new tank in almost the same location, maybe only a couple of feet further away from my well, so it's still closer than permitted by code. Sorry, I can't give you an A for this. Pro-Septic also didn't file any paperwork with the health department for this installation, which would include a site plan to show proper location and compliance with code as they should have. Finally, the concrete tank arrived late, so the workers had to wait around for an hour or so for it to show up. This put them behind schedule, and Jason was on the phone with them to hurry up to get to their next appointment, so they rushed to finish up my job. My bill says they would rake and seed and put down straw, but they hurried and didn't do much or any raking, and only put down seed with no straw. The seed did grow and I got grass, but the ground was too rough to go over with my lawn mower, and in addition settled around the the tank because it wasn't compacted well enough, so I ended up re-leveling the ground and re-seeding myself. The truck delivering the concrete tank also damaged my driveway. The Pro-Septic guys were nice enough to repair this with asphalt patch, after the company delivering the tank claimed to not be responsible (I told the Pro-Septic guys this patch was good enough, as the driveway was already in poor condition and I was planning to get it repaved anyway). For the most part I'm satisfied and pleased with Pro-Septic's work, but I wish they had taken more care to make sure the work was done to code.

STAY AWAY! Booked them to find/pump my septic on a home we had just purchased. Came out said, they couldn't do it because of "packed clay" and needed a special digging tool that would cost me more than double. Seemed like they may have been working me, but what do I know about septic stuff so agreed. 12 hours before the appointment for them to come pump they called and cancelled. This is a weekend home, I travelled specifically for this appointment and I explained that I'm due to have a baby in 2 weeks and this was the only time we could do the appointment before we bring our baby home. His response "sorry, we had other jobs that are taking longer". WOW. Highly unprofessional, unreliable and will probably over charge you. Avoid at all costs.

They fixed the leaks in the pump housing and installed a top-of-the line pump. They also re-graded and re-seeded the back lawn where they had worked.

Friendly and courteous, but communication within the company was very low. Office manager not knowledgeable of how systems run. Technicians showed to do work when not scheduled to. Weren't supervised by real estate agents as a result. Left area a mess. Didn't email a full inspection report, which was requested, until after it didn't show in my email and I followed up. Says that the tank was pumped, but that was not requested, nor can it be verified that they actually pumped or needed to pump tank although it shows on the invoice. Looks like a rush job. Sent pictures of how the site was left on 3/1/17. Haven't gotten a response as of 3/26/17. Would not recommend.

They worked with us on scheduling; even arranging to do it on Saturday, because it was the one day that we would be around. They showed up on time and worked with great efficiency. Mike designed a very efficient system and was very careful in the measurement of the installation. Mike explained everything throughly and patiently. Kevin, who operates the excavator, is a true artist. (I could have watched him all day.) He went out of his way to put aside the large 'useful' rocks, because I told him that we could use them for stepping-stones and landscaping. They finished the entire job in about 3 hours, with a minimum of disturbing of other areas of the lawn. They left the soil restored, leveled and seeded with grass seed. We could not be happier. I would recommend them highly.

They were on time, thorough, spent some time on the phone with me walking through the results of their inspection and gave advice on maintaining the system.

Proseptic had the transmitter capsule, which I flushed down the toilet. Mike from Proseptic found the Septic Tank within 10 minutes (and because the capsule was retrieved from the tank--there was no extra charge). We had a tree that had grown over the septic pipe. They removed the tree and installed a new pipe with a clean-out port. All quickly and VERY Professionally. I very pleased and amazed how easy it seems when you hire true pros!

WE didn't know where the tank was. Owner dug around for it, then resorted to a a cool electronic gadget that he flushed down the toilet. It beeped it's way through and we located the tank!

The came did the job and we're very professional and helpful

They sent out 3 guys, who I later found out were unlicensed, to snake a drain at a quote of $170.00. They spent hours trying to clean this drain and ended up charging me $450.00 total and cracking a copper pipe in the process that then had to have fixed. They quoted me $3200 to fix and replace this, with the $450 from the drain cleaning job deducted. We had another plumber come out , who WAS licensed, to give a quote and found it was only going to be about $400 total to have the work done. I found out later that the owner, Jason, was encouraging the price-gauging and lying for all this nonsense. I will never use this company again.
