We had a waste pipe issue. They sent Chris for estimate. He gave estimate and temporarily repaired sewerage issue until he could schedule full appt. Chris returned and completed full repair without tearing down walls or tiles, except the basement access panel we had removed for him. He was pleasant and explained everything to my me and my very elderly parents.

Plass sent out Chris, who explained that loose tiles in the shower were likely causing the leak. We have known for a while that the bathroom needs to be gutted and renovated but are still saving. The tub faucet was also leaking but Chris was unable to fix it due to the age and corrosion. However, he tightened it to stop the leak and we will not use that bathroom until we can renovate it.

I could not be present for the repair because I had to work, my wife let the plumber in but did not supervise or understand the scope of work.  What should have been a simple job turned into a nightmare that is costing me tens of thousands of dollars!  When I made the appointment I specifically told them that the copper pipes on either side of the valve were different sizes and gave them the measurements of the pipes so that they could be prepared.  Despite this they came without the proper sized pipes and had to leave in place several old redundant valves that I had asked them to remove.  They also broke a different valve while draining the system and of course charged me to replace that as well.  (In their defense, the system is old, valves break, I get it) I came home to an unexpected $600 bill to replace a single valve.  The next day both of our zone pumps started making funny noises.  The same plumber came back out to see them and said that they were old and might need to be replaced but we could try just lubricating them - which I did on my own - and it did not work.   His name was Todd.  He was on time, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable.  However, the big problem came a few days later when I went to the basement to find a puddle around my oil burner.  The boiler had cracked.  When my boiler repair tech came out to the house he found that the plumber had shut off the internal thermostat on the boiler and forgotten to turn it back on.  This meant that the boiler would kick on and off with the upstairs thermostat, but would then cool completely when not in use.  The repeated expansion and contraction caused my boiler that has been running continuously for nearly 70 years to finally crack.  Now I have to replace the entire heat system in my house because the plumber forgot to flip a switch.  I emailed them about the problem and have received zero response.  I am not pursuing this further because we signed a waiver saying that our system was old and they would not take responsibility for things that broke.  I am sure that they will hide behind this even though it was a clear mistake on their part. And I am sure it is a coincidence that 3 separate parts of the heating system all had catastrophic failures within 3 days of their work.  The best part about all of it, is that the plumbing repair was not even done properly and one of their connections start leaking a few days later!  Will never deal with them again.  Ignoring my emails was a nice touch.  At the very least they could have apologized.

I called Plass because I needed to be able to control the heat upstairs. All the radiator valves were frozen (hot-water radiators). They attempted to open a couple of the valves but could not and recommended replacing them. This seemed reasonable to me because I knew that the previous owners of the house had not used them for decades, so it wasn't surprising they were totally stuck.
They drained the system, disconnected the old valves and installed new ones. The two guys were young but obviously had worked on similar systems before. (If you own an old house, you understand the importance of this.) They asked me to keep an eye on radiators for a few days to make sure there were no leaks, which there were not.
Plass is not the cheapest outfit in town; if all you have is a leaky faucet, a local handyman can probably fix it for less. But for more serious plumbing jobs, I would call them again.

they took advantage of us. when a sink started gushing the day after they left they demanded more money. My wife had already paid them taking their word all the work they agreed to was done. Finally they fixed the problem and rebated $300 out of $2500 we gave them. It was a horrible experience

I called them to look at my water heater which kept going out, they were very attentive and professional over the phone and promptly scheduled an appointment. The plumber that came was neat and professional and even put on booties upon entering our home. He explored all options of repairing the problem and explained everything to me. they were not cheap, but the work was satisfactory..

I was quoted a service call price when I called for an estimate and was told that the service call price would be deducted from my bill if I chose to contract with them for the work. Two men from Plass came to my home as arranged, on time and they called as well, 15 mins before arriving. They reviewed the problems and sat with me to explain what needed to be done. They provided a written contract that included a description of the work as well. I did contract with them for the service and they performed the repairrs very professionally, cleanley and efficientlyl. I would definitely recommend Plass Plumbing. While I cannot speak to comparative pricing onsuch work, I was told by others that the price I was charged was reasonable.

The valve broke in the morning, and all water to the house had to be shut off (weekday morning). Called Plass about 11:00 AM, and they scheduled a service call for early in the afternoon. The plumber arrived on time, replaced the valve quickly and tested the system, all for a price below what I had expected.
