Mold remediation was OK, but -- their guarantee using "Calbrite" is misleading. It only applies if humidity levels are kept below 60% humidity, which is the minimum humidity level for mold to grow. Their installation of a whole house dehumifier as a complete disaster. I'm left with an $1800 dehumidifier that doesnt work. It leaks water on the floor. They also installed blowin-in insulation, which resulted in areas of the attic which are now unusable. I was not informed that ceiling fixtures needed to be isolated from the insulation, and that cat-walks needed to be installed to have access to areas of the attic that needed maintenance, such as a/c system, etc. I do not recommend Expediant.

It didn't. They cancelled the initial appointment, and never called to reschedule. I called them. The woman I spoke to said, "I was about to call you, just let me get my calendar out and I'll call you back." She never called. If they can't make it to an estimate or even call, how reliable are they?

Called them when home remedies didn't work. They came as scheduled and spent the better part of the day heating the house to 160' to kill the mites, which are extremely hard to kill. It took three treatments to eliminate the mites, expensive, but worth every penny.

It went well. They came out right away when they said they were going to come out. The professionalism of the person that came out was excellent. There was a lot of follow-up. The quote was about $4000. It was fine; I had no problem. We did not use them because it was not as bad as they were saying as it was already demoed at that point. At that point, the ceiling had already been open and everything was exposed underneath. Basically, it was just the carpet that needed to be removed. When I called them on the phone, it was supposed to be less. If the demo work was done by us, then the quote should have been cut in half. But for whatever reason, they still quoted the same. They basically came out in person and most of the work was done. It hadn’t really penetrated. It was more of a mildew issue. We had opened the ceiling and taken out the sheetrock. We had personally removed sheetrock as well as insulation, so we can actually see the studs, which were not affected. That's why I had a second opinion. It wasn’t necessary to go with a full-blown remediation. Basically we just had to remove the damaged area like carpet, sheetrock and the insulation. I borrowed a dehumidifier, so we took care of it ourselves.

We were given the contract and he explained to us the treatment methods and the removal of debris. We hired them because of their price and they were less invasive to the structure of the house. It was clean and we didn't have to cut any of the drywall. The only thing I am not happy about is that they lost the contract, they did not have the signed contract. The guy that came in and did the inspection and gave us the estimate lost the contract. Then when the guys came in to do the work they claimed that the removal of debris was extra, about $900 and that's a lot of money. I specifically called him to make sure that the debris was going to be removed by them and that was included in the price. They came in and did the job. The pricing was good but you have to be very clear about every item on there, and we were but when they lose the contract, that was a major setback. They didn't do any post treatment testing. He said that the testing was expensive and they already knew that we had mold so they just did the treatment.

The agent was rude and unprofessional. They tested for the mold and then Hurrican Sandy happened and they never called back. to explain their report. They did mail the report but it was higly technical and we were unable to decipher it until they finally got back to us and said there was no mold. I could not recommend them.

They were very professional. I was going to use them to do the remediation, and because I did some research on the type of procedure that they are going to use, I thought that there would be a little paragent to my home. I don't want to say anything bad about them, because they didn't really do any other work except the pre-testing which was done very well. So, I just thought to not use them for the remediation, but it's only because I just thought that their way of re-mediating the mold was going to be harmful to my home.

They were good. They punctual with the quote. It was a good working relationship over the course of the project. A couple of small things came up and they were able to handle it with no problem. Their pricing was fair. They were honest to deal with.

I think that the estimate was close to realistic. They were more realistic on price and one of the lower ones. They were also more accurate about what needed to be done. They did not over charge us for the work that needed to be done. The crew came in 3 weeks after the estimate and they were quick and efficient. They moved the stuff in the attic so that they could get to the areas where there was mold. Then they removed the sheet rock in the garage and closet. Then they painted it and sent samples to the lab to get tested and make sure they got it all. We are now waiting for the results of the test.

They did not follow through. The estimate had little to do with the walk through. I called to verify the estimate and he never called me back.

Expediant performed a conventional mold remediation in the bathroom of a house I rent in Albany. A mold remover was applied to all surfaces in the affected bathroom. The service person returned in about one week to perform a test which would establish whether all of the mold was removed. The lab report was sent to me showing the results were excellent.

The owner came out and accessed the problem. He recommended what should be done in the future to prevent the mold from coming back. We were very pleased with them.

My experience was mixed because the equipment they sent was faulty and when we came home the house was filled with carbon dioxide as there was a leak in one of the generator hoses. The young man shared with me that when he left that morning he knew that the machine had a problem, but it was the only one left so he took it. They had to shut one down and then they told me that the temperature was still at an OK level downstairs in the basement to kill the mold, but it just was disappointing to spend that kind of money and not have top-notch equipment and have the house filled with propane gas.

They were very professional and straight forward about the price. They came up right up-front and mentioned the price and there was no hidden cost. They checked everything and didn't find any mold in the house.

I was able to get an appointment quickly even though the company is pretty busy with Hurricane Sandy aftermath. Rich arrived on time and I tagged along for both inspections, which covered the exterior and interior including attic and basement. He explained things and it was very useful and informative even though no pests were found. I also had him inspect for mold, which of course he found and offered remediation services, and a quote to present to the sellers. The written quote and pest inspection report for the bank were a little slower to arrive via email, so I rated that down to a B, but they were responsive with getting them out after they were reminded!

He showed up on time for the estimate, and even handed me a written estimate before leaving that appointment. They wiped down and cleaned portions, to treat that. They removed some sheetrock and replaced it. I got the certificate, showing that it had been done to EPA standards. The technician was very knowledgeable and professional. He had special light to enable him to see the mold better. They always reacted very quickly to my requests.
