Creature Comforts Animal Hospital

One of our parakeets seemed to be ill. Anyone who has owned pet birds knows that a bird's health can rapidly decline unless prompt and effective medical intervention is applied. The staff at Creature Comforts Animal Hospital fit in an appointment with Dr. Barker within an hour of when we called. Dr. Barker gave our parakeet a thorough and gentle physical examination. She recommended that an xray and testing of the bird's fecal matter be performed to ensure a complete understanding of the symptoms. This testing drove up the cost of this visit. Based on her diagnosis, Dr. Barker sent us home with medication for our parakeet. Fortunately, the parakeet quickly responded and her health improved back to normal. Our parakeet had a follow up visit with Dr. Fairlie, who likewise did a gentle and careful physical exam, confirming that our bird has likely recovered. To be completely convinced that the recovery is complete, a follow up culture was recommended by Dr. Fairlie and we will be taking care to get that done. Both Dr. Barker and Dr. Fairlie are compassionate and expert veterinarians who can provide care for exotic pets such as birds. We will gladly continue our association with them.

We have been to 4 vets with 1 cat and 2 dogs now since we have had pets.  Creature Comforts is by far the best clinic we have been to and Dr. Barker is by far the best veterinarian we have seen.  In addition, the reception staff at all of the vet clinics we have been to have been somewhat rude and frazzled, which I can't blame them for really, as it is long hours, thankless and probably not great pay.  However, the reception staff at Creature Comforts is so friendly, kind and fun to be around that going to the vet is something to look forward to!  Also, the techs there are super kind, friendly, caring and very knowledgeable.  
I guarantee you will not find a veterinarian clinic where you will be treated as well as at Creature Comforts.  I can't say for sure that they are THE best in terms of knowledge, as I have so little knowledge to judge.  However, they do seem to have all of the right answers to questions I ask, and they have done perfect work on our min. schn. so far.  They also have an excellent system for keeping records on your pet.  They will always know what the status of your pet is and what needs to be done, unlike some other vets in the area with archaic paper notes record keeping and ineptitude.
If you are looking for a caring, kind, knowledgeable vet, I would HIGHLY recommend them!  I would even recommend switching from your current vet.  We didn't want to switch mid-stream with our greyhound, but I wish we would have come here sooner.  I will never go anywhere else as long as they continue to provide the service that I have experienced so far!

They seemed very good, the doctors seemed very thorough, and she diagnosed a problem with the smaller cat that she treated, and it seems to have worked out well, and we are very happy. They have a nice set up there, it is a good hospital, and it seems well managed.

It was a good price overall because I did comparison shop beforehand and they offered a coupon because it is a new business and that's how I found them and I was pleasantly surprised. They have compassion and wonderful love of animals. They really take a lot of time at each visit to get to know the animals. The doctor got down on the floor to make sure the animal was comfortable. It was amazing. The veterinarian's demeanor with me was wonderful.
