This was my first time going to Arlington Auto for an oil change. I called one monrning and was able to get in the same day. Everyone was SO friendly and personable. I was more than comfortable in the waiting area with my 22 month-old daughter. We sat back in a huge, super cozy chair and played during the service. Quick. Courteous. What a difference from the last two places we've tried!

I was very satisifed with the service. There was some confusion over the price quoted by phone, but this was quickly and courteously resolved in my favor (keeping a customer!). Service manager was very good. Waiting room ok - a little cramped and no wifi. This was my first visit to this company, but I would have no hesitation returning. Prices on posted list for various services seemed reasonable.

I scheduled an appointment and showed up about 20 minutes early, anticipating a line and forms to fill out. Someone asked to help me right away, and a service technician had the car in a bay almost immediately. I explained that I needed an inspection, and that there was a nasty rumbling, and I wanted to know if it could be fixed with an alignment or if I needed new tires. The person at the desk recommended the vibration special, which is listed on the receipt as a tire balancing.
You know you're at a good service shop when they turn down work that doesn't need to be done. I made it out with just an alignment and balancing, which has definitely smoothed out the ride. I went in fully expecting to need a new set of tires, but apparently I didn't need it.
I say apparently because despite waiting for my car to be done, nobody came out to let me know when the car was done, or what work was to be done. I always get nervous bringing a car in for inspections and service, because while things may seem fine, you never know what hidden problems a tech might find. Go in for an alignment, find out you need a whole new suspension type of thing... so automobile waiting rooms are not my favorite place. After getting antsy, I went for a walk around the parking lot, to find my car in a new spot with the updated inspection sticker on it. I guess they finished doing their work and parked it, but nobody bothered to tell me about it. I wonder how long I would have sat there? Even though I got off easy without needing a new set of tires, it would have been nice to get an update so I could stop imagining a worst-case situation.
I can't really make any remarks on how fast they work because I don't know how long my car was sitting out in the parking lot ready to go.
When I asked about my car, a different front desk worker read off the total and stood there. No apology for the unnecessary wait, no explanation of the work done, just a total. Granted, it was a good total for the vehicle's annual trip to the mechanic, but still, a very simple opportunity to increase customer satisfaction.
The car is great. Much smoother ride than before, and I'm confident that the work done was professional. Hearing the techs talk with the other waiting customers, I could tell that they knew their stuff, and were all about getting cars in, serviced, and back on the road. I must've just fallen through the cracks.
A few other minor items: While their waiting room chairs are comfy, and there's a nice big tv, the area could definitely use some sound dampening. Between the television, customers on their phones and the shop noise, it's quite noisy. The restroom has picture frames with no pictures in them. The tv was set to daytime talk shows, and it got awkward sitting next to an elderly woman while hearing about "99 fun ways to satisfy your lover" at an unavoidably loud volume. There was also no free wifi, which I found an odd omission.
Small items aside, I'm happy with the service performed on my vehicle, and will probably be returning the next time I need an inspection or minor work done. There are definitely a few things that could have been done to make me happier, but it's an auto shop, not a vacation resort.

They did the job in a timely manner. They have a good reputation. They were friendly and competent. They did a good job at a reasonable price.
