Concrete Driveway Service
My 1830 house has a 300' long by 7.5' wide "carriage" driveway with 110' of ruts from 4 - 8" deep. Tom's advertised "spreading" stone which he did fairly well in 2 - 6" layers with a small dump truck. The ruts were first filled with a mix of small stone and stone dust. I raked two tons of the mix smooth and rolled it with a hand concrete roller and later rented a motorized compactor for a hard surface. The second day four tons of crushed shale were spread over the entire driveway surface. This was also raked and rolled out. The last load of shale was wet and didn't spread easlily -- not the haulers fault, but he helped move some stone around to finish the big job. It looks very good.
