Laura and Bob of Bobco A/C provided some info and tips as to what problem might be - without requiring a service call (or fee). Their advice was perfect and I was able to get A/C operating on my own.

He was wonderful. I am happy to make a recommendation for him. Several friends recommended him but he was also on Angie's List but did not have many reviews. It was not an easy job but he was terrific on all counts. He was extremely pleasant as well, and came back a few days later just to make sure everything was working properly. I would absolutely use him again if needed.

Actually returns phone calls. Electric was already in, so although somewhat pricey, the job was completed in 1 day, was cleaned up inside and out. I would recommend Bobco to anyone wanting "old school" attention to detail, finishing and clean-up.

Bob returned all calls, was on time, and was so knowledgeable and honest that he was able to fix my unit after a Keyspan repairman told me my compressor was bad and it would cost $7,500 to replace my unit and air handler (which he claimed would have needed to be upgraded because of the new energy efficient units). His pricing was more than fair-- he saved me almost $7,000, and he was genuinely concerned about our plight (heat wave and no A/C). He spent about 4 hours working on the unit plus parts. I can't say enough good things about this company!

WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH OUR CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM SO THIS ONE TIME WAS NOT AS UPSETTING! PLUS WE CHOSE A GREAT COMPANY WITH VERY REASONABLE PRICES TO SERVICE US.
