I was disappointed because this company did not adhere to the contract as agreed. The owner, "Ronnie," does not seem as involved as needed and the business seems to be run by "Alexa," a part-time employee who is not licensed in any of the skilled trades needed for HVAC work. I had to hire another HVAC company to work on my unit and keep the unit in good working order..

I had previously hired a plumber recommended to me by a friend. He had done some work in the condo last year and I called him when the hot water heater stopped working. He reset the pilot light and a few weeks later it went out again. He reset it and this time it failed the next day. The third time he came back, he determined a part had failed and he replaced the part but could not get it working. He gave up and suggested I call the people who installed it, US Air, because it was still under warranty. If he had told me that in the first place I would have done that sooner. I called US Air and they found the records from the previous owner who installed the heater, confirming it was under warranty, but were concerned that the first plumber had tampered with the heater, thereby voiding the warranty. A repairman came, diagnosed the problem and came back with the needed part the next day. They honored the warranty, not charging me for the part. I was only charged for the repair visit. The heater has been working fine since then. I would definitely use them again.

I called US Air Conditioning to make an appt for my son's house.  The diagnosis was supposedly a compressor that needed to be replaced.  He gave my son a range in price from around  $400-1000, but would get back to him with specifics.  Next day he received a call saying that he now needs 2 compressors, because if one goes another will go.  2 compressors @$1800.  Not only is that an extremely high price considering one compressor can be bought for $200 online, but I'm of the school that if it isn't broke don't fix it.  The repairman did not give him the option to repair one compressor.  Since I'm the one paying for it, that is a no go.    Would rather buy the one compressor on my own and have someone do the (uninflated) labor.  Very disappointing because this is the same company that originally installed the a/c for my son's father.

Update: 
We had a "second opinion" done by another a/c company, and the compressor was fine.  What was wrong?  It was a bad wire, and clogged duct.  The bad wire was obvious because it was hanging down and I was originally suspicious this was the problem. Unfortunately I wasn't the one there when the serviceman showed up.  Dishonest company taking advantage of a young person.  Shame.

I have had extensive dealings with this company covering the period from June 2012 to January 2013. I waited until now to write this review in order to to allow time to test the quality of their work, which has proved to be outstanding. I had two gas furnaces and two central AC units that were 25 years old in June of 2012. At that time, one of the central AC units died, and the best choice for me was to replace it along with the furnace to which it was linked. I solcited three bids. U. S. Air Conditioning and Heating was not the cheapest, but I believed its price to be fair, and I was impressed with how thoroughly Ron Nielsen, the sales representative, analyzed the size of the units I needed, which turned out to be smaller than what was installed 25 years ago. Ron was quite knowledgeable and personable. He did suggest a brand I had not heard of, but he was quite happy to switch to Rheem when I said that was my preference. He recommended a very high efficiency furnace and assured me it would substantially reduce my gas usage. The crew who installed the furnace and AC unit, led by a man named Gerard, were great. Gerard is one of the best persons ever to do work in my home. He is a perfectionist, which suits me to a tee. He wasn't going to leave the site until everything was as it should be. The crew (and particularly James) was also conscientious about protecting my floors as they brought heavy equipment inside the house, and about cleaning up after themselves. I was so pleased, that in December 2012, I decided to replace my remaining old furnace and AC unit. I didn't think they would last much longer, and I thought I might as well take the opportunity to save on fuel costs this winter. Again, Gerard led a fantastic installation team. A short time ago I calculated my gas usage per degree-day for this winter compared to the previous two. It was 25% less, so Ron's promise of fuel savings was accurate. Finally, in January of 2013 I had US Air Conditioning and Heating install a natural gas generator. Tony led the electrical side of things, and Gerard was back for hooking up the gas line. Tony was very careful and made special effort to make sure that all the circuits most important to me were covered. Gerard was great, as usual. I suffered an electricity outage a couple of weeks after the gnerator was installed,, but I didn't realize it until I went downstairs and heard the generator running; it was too quiet to hear in my bedroom. The bottom line is that the quality of work done by US Air Conditioning and Heating is top-notch.
