One of Long Island's top building material suppliers, Nassau Suffolk Lumber & Supply was incorporated in 1927. Facing hard economic times, a group of independent lumber dealers joined together in February of that year to form a larger, stronger unified company covering all of Long Island. These dealers included Cox, Wendler, and Van Tuyl of Wantagh, Hicks Lumber of Roslyn, Corwin Vale of Riverhead, and Smithtown Lumber, among others. Today, William Van Tuyl III and Christopher Van Tuyl oversee the company's operations. Nassau Suffolk Lumber has convenient locations in Locust Valley, Huntington and Port Jefferson to serve the building trade, as well as our kitchen design showroom and truss division in Bohemia, and garage door division located in Port Jefferson. The company stocks an extensive inventory of quality building materials, and only the finest grades of lumber from select mills. Plus, Nassau Suffolk Lumber & Supply has an experienced, fully-trained sales force whose sole purpose is serving the needs of professional customers.
