The painting job was a large one--a huge great room, with ceiling showing the effects of roof leaks and many cracks and corner brackets that needed replacing.  A previous paint job left many flaws that had to be corrected.  Jay does all the work himself, is meticulous and takes pains getting the job done correctly.  He works steadily and efficiently, is factual and informative in explanations of what he's doing, and thoroughly professional.  He comes punctually, and works steadily throughout the day with only a break for lunch.  It took him six days to complete the job, but when in was finished it was perfect.  This is the second time we have used him--came recommended by a friend who has used him extensively--and our experience has been that he charges slightly higher than the market rate, but his work is superior.  We've tried a number of other painters and have not found any of them with whose work we were more pleased.  We regard him as entirely trustworthy, and felt comfortable having him work while we were not in the house.
