DiMonti's Decorative Finishes is a surface artist. We create beautiful and unique murals, and innovative faux finishes. Cabinetry and Furniture Finishes; We can refinishing all types of cabinetry including laminate, oak, or fabricated wood. This process is not re-facing, We use quality low voc products to produce high end results. All estimates are free. By utilizing a combination of paints, glazes, stains and durable top coats we take your existing wood surface and will re-purpose or restore your existing kitchen cabinetry , fireplace mantel or front entry door to a beautiful factory finish. This process is at a fraction of the cost in comparison to refacing or replacing. We have been in business for over 10 years and have an extensive portfolio with before and after projects. Instead of ripping out your old worn kitchen or bath consider contacting us. Your old cabinets, can be darkened/lightened, enhanced and given new life by antiquing, and glazing.. Large 10 X 17 sample size finishes are carried to the initial consultation so that you can see and feel the finish prior to starting any project. In addition our company was nominated three consecutive years, DiMonti Finishes is Long Island's Best Artist for 2012 & 2013 ( by the Long Island Press ) Our initial consultation is free and our portfolio contains hundreds of samples containing everything from color washing,venetian plaster, metallic textures, wood graining, murals, ornamental painting, stenciling, hand painted wallpaper and Italian plasters. We do not subcontract and will offer a 10% discount for members of Angie's List.

My wife and I wanted our kitchen cabinets refinished, as they were 20 years old and starting to show wear around the edges and high spots.  We did some research on various approaches and people that could do this type of work.  I have the ability to do this as well, since I have built a couple of kitchens and made all of the furniture in my house.  The problem was that I did not have the time to do this and did not want it to be a weekend job over many weekends. And more importantly, either did my wife.    When Maria came to our house and explained the process, it was clear that she was the right one for the job.  And in the end, she was!!!!  We had 36 doors and 23 drawer fronts that needed to be done, so this was a sizable job.  Maria gave her estimate for both price and time to complete.  We accepted and the work began.  Picking the color was the hard part, picking Maria after talking to others was the easy part.  Maria has some great ideas about how to improve the look of whatever it is that you have her working on.  She is an artist.  She took all of the doors and drawers to her shop and when she was done she came back to spray all of the frames and cabinet trim.  We were concerned about overspray and paint all over the place, but not with Maria.  Everything was taped, temporary plastic walls from the ceiling to the floor were put up and all of the flooring was covered.  And there was no paint or overspray as we were concerned about.  We had her finish the end caps for us as well and they look great.  Now we were up to putting it all back together.  Wow, we had a new kitchen that looked like one you would see in a magazine.  She did a FANTASTIC job.  She was very neat, punctual and very professional from start to finish.  She is very friendly and takes real pride in the work that she does.  Maria is ABSOLUTELY someone that you would want to speak to before making a decision on someone else.  You spend a lot of your time in the kitchen and if you want it to look like new again....have Maria do the job for you.

Maria was amazing. Not only is she an honest, kind, dependable person. She is also extremely talented. Maria was always on time, very neat, and so wonderful to work with. From beginning to end Maria told me wait until the end result. She was right. My kitchen looks like something out of a magazine.

Super job. Maria is a real talented artist. Meticulous - clean and neat start to finish - she left minimal clean-up for us to do. Complex job involving sanding and multiple layers of paints and stains took five full workdays but the results are nothing short of spectacular. Price was reasonable for the quantity and quality of the work performed. Our rooms look great and retain the intent and style of the original early 1930s Tudor home design - Maria has increased the value of our home. A+++ all the way.

We eventually had to reschedule because of "Superstorm Sandy," but she did what she could to get my project underway after that unforeseen disruption. Once she started, all went smoothly. She worked efficiently and accepted my occasional suggestions on how to make it more like the look I'd originally imagined. I am very pleased with the results for everything: the overall wall and the small critters. She finished in 5 days and made sure everything was clean when she left. She did a terrific job. She's very easy to work with, which made the whole process from the introductory phone call to her clean-up at the end pleasurable.
