Stanley Steemer

This was when we lived in New Jersey.  It was great. 

As usual they try to talk you into stuff.

They were prompt, they were here when they said they were going to be here, they called right before they came with two men a hopefully experienced guy and a new person. They were very careful they put things underneath all the chairs and sofa, you know wax paper you know some kind of a protector but at least they did something like that. 

They moved some of the furniture and the carpet looks really good.

It went very well. They came in a timely manner, they did it right away. It was two guys and did exactly what they were supposed to and explained exactly what they were doing. It took them about an hour and a half to complete the work. They try to bargain with you for additional work.

Overall they were good. They weren?t able to get the carpet as clean as I originally thought.

One was not done and they came back free of charge and they did it and it came out much better. They were okay. They came back and they were very apologetic.

The price was fair. I had to have them come back to re do 1 room, but they did ok.

I contacted Stanley Steemer because they were having a sale, and I was dealing with the aftermath of having had filthy tenants rent my house for four years. The tenants had two dogs, and the new carpet in my finished basement was a smelly mess. The tile and grout on the bathroom floor looked as if they'd never cleaned it, was almost pitch black in places.
Stanley Steemer responded promptly to my request for an appointment. On the day of the appointment, I received a call saying the men were on their way to my house. An hour later, they still hadn't shown up. When they finally arrived, they said they'd had trouble finding the house. I asked them why they hadn't contacted me for directions, and they said they didn't have my phone number. They also didn't have the information of what they were supposed to do or the price I had contracted to pay for the work.
The carpet cleaning in the basement came out fine. However, the gout cleaning in the bathroom was terrible. I'd had the bathroom floor tile and grout professionally cleaned by another company before the tenants moved in, and the job was spectacular. When the man from Stanley Steemer told me he was finished, I went in to look at the job. There were whole areas he had neglected to clean. Admittedly, these were areas that were harder to get to, but the company I had hired previously had had no problem doing a uniformly beautiful job. To the Stanley Steemer cleaner's credit, he did go back and try to clean these areas. The result was better, but not great. I will not use this company again.

We ended up having all the rooms with hardwood done that I mentioned above. I decided to have the stairs going up to the second floor done too, as well as the second floor hallway.
I also decided to have the laundry room tile floor cleaned as well as the entire basement floor, which consists of bare plywood stairs, vinyl and ceramic tile flooring. I also decided to bite the bullet and have the living room sofa cleaned as well as the leather furniture in the family room.
The wood floors throughout the first floor, stairs going up to the second floor and the hall on the second floor look fantastic!! I never thought my floors, especially my much-used kitchen could look this good with a deep cleaning and maintenance coating. I just figured I'd have to sand and refinish, which I dreaded. I am thrilled with the results.
I am thrilled with the basement flooring results too. Just knowing that the floors have been deep-cleaned after years of and quot;abuseand quot; by kids and pets is a relief. I am looking forward to the day when I can reclaim the basement space as our own, where we can have grown-up parties!
Alfredo and his crewmate (sorry I can't remember his name) worked very hard and did a great job on my home. I gave Alfredo a very good tip, which I hope he shared with his crewmate.
I spent more than what I anticipated but at the same time I got a lot more work done than I anticipated. I am very happy with the work that was done and I wouldn't hesitate to have Alfredo and his crewmate come back to my home. If I didn't have a negative experience with the first crew, this review would be all A's.

They were not that brilliant. They were actually cleaning our carpet and there weren’t any water to their truck. It was actually our mistake as the outside tap was turned off but they did not check that.

After complaining about being overcharged I was promised a refund. That refund never materialized. After many phone calls, leaving messages, their refusal to return my calls or answer the calls, I gave up. To make matters worse they sprayed some small areas to help remove stains, those areas are now badly stained by the spray they used. It not only did not take out the stain it left a larger one. Today they called me to see I wold like to have my carpets cleaned-OUTRAGEOUS! I did a better job with the machine I rented from the grocery store. This company should be out of business!

I got a price quote online but when they arrived I was told that price would be different because the rugs were not area rugs. The rugs are just standard polyester rugs, nothing unusual. The quality of the job was poor. I had to mop floor cleaner from the hardwood floors when they left and I also had to put the furniture back myself. I would never use this company again. I feel that it was the worst kind of bait and switch I have seen in years. I called their 800 number and asked to speak to a customer service representative. The best they could do was tell me a manager would call me back in two days.

I called them and they came out right away. They moved all the furniture. They cleaned the carpets. They put plastic under the furniture and moved it back. Everything was the same when they left as when they got there, just clean. I was very pleased.

The cleaning was good, but they broke my kitchen faucet. They claimed they did not, but a piece of equipment was still attached to the faucet. The follow up was awful. And when they said they would replace and or fix the faucet, they never came back and never returned my calls. I will NEVER use Stanley Steemer again.

Stanley Steemer Carpet Cleaner sent a very nice and professional man. Everything went well. He was very conscientious and careful of my property. I've used Stanley Steemer for years. Once in awhile the carpets aren't done as well as I would like, but usually they are. One thing I really like is that if you need something cleaned right away they will send someone out at least by the next day. They also follow up to make sure their customers are satisfied.

I was getting a tremendous amount of suds and it looked like the top of a beer when I was vacuuming. I called them and they were supposed to check the carpets and they didn t. I was not pleased with them at all, and I would not use them again because of the situation with the way that they cleaned the carpets this time.

Stanley Steemer did a great job. My only complaint would be the high price. Although they are kind of expensive, the work is always of the highest quality. In my experience using Stanley, they have always been punctual and professional.

I had called them late in the afternoon hoping to get an appointment the next day, but to my surprise they were at my home within a half hour of me calling them. The sofa looks great. I will call them again for sure for my carpet cleaning.

The serviceman from Stanley Steemer was pleasant and very thorough. He got the heavily traveled carpet looking like new. We have used them before and I would recommend them as reliable and efficient carpet cleaners.

The Technician was friendly, and helpful. The general cleaning went well and they came back a second time when the tough water/dirt stains did not come out the first time. I especially liked the phone call before and after the service. I would recommend Stanley Steemer.

Company called 2 days before and on the day scheduled. Two man team showed up on time and very efficiently did their job. Very professional crew did a top notch job.

I'VE USED THEM MANY OVER THE YEARS. THEY ARE PUNCTUAL AND EXCELLENT. WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO BE THERE AT TEN O'CLOCK, THEY WERE HERE. ANYONE WHO STICKS TO AN APPOINTMENT IS EXCELLENT.
