"I am the Senior Manager (Jeffrey) at Arctic and I have personally looked into you complaint. Here is what I found. First the last time we were at your residence was January 29, 2014. Not 12/12/16. Also from the GPS we have in the van I show it was at your location for [Member Information Removed] hour 10 minutes. Not the 15 minutes you stated above. The reason for the visit was that you have (2) PTAC heating and a/c units that haven't been serviced in ~3 years (you shared with us). You also noted that the heat isn't heating a well as in past years. We verbally quoted you the cost to maintenance both units and you agreed, scheduled appointment and noted you would be paying by check when done. Here is what the technician found "Technician performed winter maintenance to living room unit, unit is working but compressor is making bad noise, sound like it is on its way out. The bedroom unit technician found it to have a bad compressor, need to replace unit. We followed this work with a quote to replace the bedroom unit. Replacement unit not approved. If you wish to discuss this matter in further detail Please feel free to call me direct at 914-934-8301. PS I did leave you a voice message to your home phone and sent an email to discuss further yesterday 12/13/16. Not reply yet."
"This statement by this customer is totally inaccurate. I have tried to reach out to the customer several times to see why he would make such a bad statement about the company. He will not return my call. The true facts are as follows. We were called on an emergency call on a Saturday afternoon for " no heat" and found several different issues. We instructed the home owner, that he would have to pay for the emergency service call, even if we couldnt get the unit working that weekend. [member name removed]refused to pay us for our services and on several occasions attempted to bargain with us to get the cost reduced. We finally reduced the cost to $100.00 from $225.00, and he still refused to pay. After going back and forth with out billing dept, he finally paid the $100.00. This is a customer that has completed lied about the true circumstances of this case. As for the statement of using a " sub contractor" to install the new furnace, that is completely untrue. We have 21 mechanics and installers that work for our company and never sub out any work. As for installing the wrong model furnace, we installed exactly what was on our contract. In closing, [member name removed] is a customer that basically did not want to pay for a service call and used every excuse in the book to try to threaten Arctic Mechanical so that we would credit his entire bill. . I strongly reject his statements. If any homeowner has any questions regarding this response, they can call me directly at 914-879-9425. My name is Mark Pauletti ,and Im the owner of Arctic Mechanical ,and I was the service technician that was on this call. I have all the information needed to discredit [member name removed]. Thank you..."
"We installed a new condensing unit for the customer because the unit had high pressure caused by bad valves. After replacing the unit we found the valved were damaged by the TXV. We installed the TXV free of charge. Customer believes the condenser was not bad. He did not accept my explanation which is 100% truthful and honest. Arctic Mechanical has a great reputation in the tri-state area and will not allow a customer to fraudulently make a claim against our integrity. Mark Pauletti, owner"
