Hudson Valley Windows & Siding

This was part 2 of our window and door replacement project. Dave and crew replaced front door, octagonal portal window, 3 basement windows on house. Also replaced front door and 3 windows in studio. Totally satisfied with all work. Thanks to Dave, Jack, and Nicky for a job well done.

Just wanted to add this to supplement the review of the window replacement that I already submitted. The windows have been terrific in keeping the cold out during frosty days. Every winter we used to caulk our old wood windows but could still feel cold air seeping through the frame on cold days. The new windows have solved that problem. No leakage of cold air from outside to inside!! Quality product and quality workmanship.

Dave installed 14 new vinyl windows (including 1 beautiful new casement window). He and his crew did a superb job. Couldn't be happier with the work and price. Already scheduled him to replace doors and basement windows next year. We love Dave!!

The entire process was very smooth from start to finish. I had met Dave at the Home Show and we scheduled an appointment for measurement and an estimate. I was impressed with his presentation, and the price was fair, and once the contract was signed, everything proceeded smoothly. The installations were efficiently done and at the end of each day everything cleaned up so it was hardly noticeable that a job was in progress. The door was purchased by me and they picked it up and brought it to my house. The installer clearly had high standards for his work, and everything looked perfectly done in the end. Since they will work 7 days a week, once the job was started, it was completed without interruption, in the exact time that had been estimated. All in all about as easy an experience you would want for a significant installation.

We couldn't have asked for better!! The owner Dave was with us from the estimate until completion. We have a 50 year old, poorly built  house with many evils hiding under the old siding and windows. Jack, who did most all of the work himself is a master craftsman and perfectionist. He worked 7 days a week, and repaired all that he found along the way, such as rotten lumber, poorly installed original siding board and messy wires from the utilities. It was a long process but well worth it, we have a new house and not one dime more than the estimate for all that work. We're so glad we chose Hudson Valley windows and siding! We had 1 slightly cheaper estimate, but not likely that all the evils would have been fixed.

HVWS owner and installer were polite and knowledgeable throughout whole
process. Responded quickly to inquiries and worked well with window
manufacturer to provide us with technical information. Represented
product accurately, listened to what we wanted and respected our request
to pay attention to certain details of our house/window that were
apparently different from other replacement windows. Good price.
Installation looks great; good cleanup.

The owner David was very professional, explained what, when and how this would be done and of course the cost.
The work was done on time with precision and care. Kudos to Jack who installed the windows. 
He was efficient and cleaned up all the debris.
 I am delighted with the windows and even more delighted with the expert work done.   Great job!

I want to start off by saying windows are a horrible thing to shop for. If you have ever had window people to your house you know this. They come in and almost move in they are at your house for so long. They tell you tall tails that you find out are falsehoods once they leave and you look them up on the internet. When they finally give you a quote they pressure you into signing a contract right then and there or the price goes up several thousand dollars. I went through this five times with my family over the last three years with many different companies. I was about to give up when I found Hudson valley windows and siding. And decided to try one more time. My husband called them and was honestly very rude and straight forward with David saying things like I don't want you coming here thinking you are staying all day, you have half an hour before I throw you out. When David arrived I was surprised that the owner of the business came to do the estimate. He measured everything noting on paper which room he was in which the others did not do. He sat down with my whole family and preceded to be attacked by my husband for all the other window salesmen sins. I was very impressed that he was so nice, patient and understanding as my husband told him what he would not deal with or tolerate. Once my husband was done David said something to the fact of normally I would explain the windows but since you don't want to hear about them, how about I answer any of your questions. Once all of our questions were answered, he gave us an estimate that day and said for us to take our time. No pressure. He fully understood it was something that had to be discussed and thought on. But he did inform us that if we called him a year from now the price would go up a little because the price of the windows did change which we fully understood. When it came time to put them in, David came himself to do the work. Which made my husband very happy to know they were being done right. It took three days. He did a wonderful job and we are very pleased we finally have new windows. I think he did an amazing job. So happy I found his company. I will be hiring him again to change my front door.
