I have many references from satisfied customers over 20 years now--as my reviews indicate. I generally handle one project at a time--as a rule-- and I give my full attention to each project. I am available to help with all aspects of the project from concept to finish. I am also architecturally qualified to assist in the design concepts. I personally do most of the detail work and finish work myself and am qualified as a master-carpenter. I'm probably one of the few "working contractors" still around. My rates are very reasonable and I can usually work within a customer's budget. 2015, 2016, 2017 AND 2021 Super Service Award Winner in Dutchess County , Remodeling - Kitchens & Bathrooms are my specialty.

"Yes; this bathroom project was a challenge because of the bad work that was done by a previous contractor, who appears to be unqualified as a bathroom contractor. Bathroom projects are quite involved because of all the different aspects of the project--which include plumbing, electrical, tile work and general carpentry. It is important for a home-owner to check REVIEWS of a potential contractor before hiring."
"Once again, I am grateful for having such an understanding and patient home-owner. Remodeling can and usually does become a little inconvenient for the home-owner at times but all works out well, when we work together to accomplish the project. That was the case with this bathroom remodel in this old house."
"Everything went well with this [ 2 bathroom remodel. ] One was a full remodel and the other was a partial remodel. This home-owner put trust in my experience and qualifications, and that trust made it possible for me to create the bathrooms they were expecting. As the saying goes: "there's no substitute for experience.""
"It was a pleasure to work for this home-owner and his wife. They put their trust in my qualifications and experience and together we accomplished the bathroom project they looked forward to. It's always a major benefit in getting the bathroom done in a timely manor when a home-owner is able to make the decisions necessary along the way, to help move the project forward to completion."
"It was a pleasure to work for such understanding home-owners and their trust in my abilities made the project go so smoothly and timely. My many great reviews gave the home-owners the confidence they needed to hire and trust me."
"First I must clarify the $25,000.00 Cost ! That cost was for BOTH a bathroom remodel, AND a full creation of a LAUNDRY room adjoining the bathroom. The bathroom was around $13,000.00 complete. And the laundry room build around $12,000.00 complete. Once again, by gaining the confidence of the home-owner; and them putting trust in my expertise; the end result was just what the home-owner had in mind. It helps a lot when the home-owner is capable of making decisions as the project moves along, in regards to unexpected circumstances that are almost always encountered when remodeling an existing structure. That was the case here with this complex project. "There IS no substitute for experience.""
"The home-owner had most of the fixtures on hand prior to the bathroom remodel and that helped a lot in getting the job done in a timely manor. It's very helpful when the home-owner knows just what fixtures they want prior to contracting the job. It's also helpful when the home-owner chooses fixtures and tile that are in stock locally or on line. The average time frame to completely remodel a master-bathroom is between two and three weeks."
"Once again; this bathroom remodel was a success in more ways than one, because of the trust the home-owner had in my qualifications and experience in bathroom remodeling. They relied on Angi's reviews to help them make the right decision in choosing the right contractor for the job. I recommend reading at least a few of those reviews, before hiring a contractor--especially in this diversified field of contracting today."
"As always; this project went well because of [Member Information Removed] good working relationship between home-owner and contractor. The home-owner trusted my abilities and experience in bathroom renovations, and allowed me to make suggestions in regards to fixtures and tile choices. After many successful bathroom renovations, I am able to help the home-owner in making the right decisions to get the bathroom they want."
"We actually renovated the whole two-story home for the [Member Name Removed] family. And, the $40,000.00 figure the Mr. [Member Name Removed] listed here as the Cost, is just a little bit more than what the kitchen cost. The detailed REVIEWS (3) they gave us are noted here in the reviews for 2016 and they are below on PAGE (2).. They are some of the most detailed reviews we have ever gotten in 10 years on Angie's list !"
"Once again, it was a very positive experience for both the home-owner and I. Gaining the home-owner's trust and confidence always makes the job go smoothly and successful--as was the situation here. I do my best to apply my many years experience in remodeling to the home-owner. I always recommend that the prospective client; READ the reviews to get some insight into who you are about to hire. The unbiased reviews help greatly in deciding who you will contract with."
"This was another great customer that made the project go well because of their trust in my abilities and experience in bathroom remodeling. These reviews on Angie's list should and do speak volumes about the contractor--that should make it easy for the home owner to decide on the right contractor to hire."
"This was a complete master-bathroom remodel, which included the removal of a double whirlpool tub and a misplaced corner closet. Replacing less-used tubs, and installing walk-in shower units, seems to be very common nowadays--especially among the growing population of senior citizens! Also, the new "comfort-height" toilets and vanities are more practical and functional. The acrylic shower surrounds have improved greatly and are a much less expensive install than ceramic tile--for those with a tight budget."
"I am very appreciative to have such trusting and amiable customers to work for. Many of my customers have trusted my abilities and expertise--and advice--, and the finished product is always what was hoped for."
"Once again; it was a pleasure and a very positive experience to do work for a customer who trusted in my abilities to do the work that was required to create the functionality and the aesthetics of the particular project at hand. The REVIEWS on Angie's list can be--and should be--trusted, when considering the right contractor for the job."
"As always, it was a pleasure to work for such patient and understanding customers as these. When the home-owner has a degree of trust in the contractor's abilities and skills--as verified by previous home-owners reviews here on Angie's list--then all goes well for all involved. (John G.)"
"Once again, this bathroom project was a great success, due in part because of the patience and understanding of the home owners. Any remodeling, in an occupied home, does create a certain amount of inconvenience, and when the home owners give their assistance to make the experience more pleasant; the whole project is a positive one from start to finish. Also, the home owner's "hospitality" creates a more conducive atmosphere between them and the workers--which was the situation here !"
"As always, it was a pleasure working for such understanding and patient home owners. Remodeling bathrooms and kitchens does require a certain amount of cooperation and understanding by the home owner, because of the slight inconvenience caused by that kind of work, and when the customer has those qualities; the end product is always a positive experience for both parties. This customer exceeded those qualities!"
"We are very grateful to have such understanding and hospitable customers as this one was to us. They made each day a pleasurable experience. By way of an explanation, I would like express my thoughts on the two "B" marks: The settling of floors in structures is very common, especially in older homes. Re-leveling of whole floor areas for the sake of 1/4 inch or so, isn't always feasible or merit the additional cost to the homeowner-- and in most cases un-noticeable overall. The "punctuality" issue, in regards to contractors showing up at a specific time everyday on the clock--especially a working contractor like myself--is most misunderstood by homeowners. Every new day requires materials and supplies pick up at supply houses as the work progresses on a day to day basis. This is especially true to the nature of REMODELING work as opposed to new construction."
"As always, it is a pleasure to have such understanding and trusting customers; customers who are able to develop a good working relationship with the contractor, and who put a certain amount of trust in his hands as the "hands-on" contractor, in regards to making decisions and adjustments to the project during the construction period. The end result is always a positive one."
"The expression: "There's no substitute for 'experience'" is very true when it comes to remodeling work in a home. Re-modeling work in a house can be likened to a plastic surgeon's work on a body. Making changes to an existing structure, and having it all look like it belongs to the original body or space, is the desired result in both professions. That has been my goal for the years that I have been in the remodeling business. My customer REVIEWS speak volumes of my work--with all due respect to modesty. ----John Gasparro"
"This customer had researched hiring other contractors in the area, however they decided to TRUST in the REVIEWS of established and qualified contractors on Angie's list. They made a wise decision based on the unbiased reviews from previous home owners who have hired us. Those reviews speak volumes of any contractor who is rated on Angie's list. What could be a better recommendation to TRUST, than the many other "unrelated" home owner reviews, who have already hired an Angie's list contractor ? John Gasparro"
"This was a relatively minor repair project, however I do appreciate these small projects once in a while. It's a welcome break from the major remodeling projects that we do so often. There seems to be some contradiction on the "punctuality B" because in her main comment above; she commends me for being "prompt." Possibly a typo error."
"These projects for the [Member Name Removed] family all went well for the very reason I have mentioned in previous reviews: TRUST. Trust in the proven credentials of a contractor with a long history of positive results by many satisfied customers. The REVIEWS speak volumes for any contractor on Angie's list. The many customers who have not only trusted the detailed reviews, by unrelated home owners, and then put that trust and confidence in the specific contractor reviewed; they have benefited from making a wise decision based on proven results. " 'Cost' should not always be the deciding factor in choosing the right contractor.""
