Tri State Area Moving and Storage corp

When I spoke with Hope at Tri state for out initial estimate, I told her that we have a 2 bedroom, one bath, full basement and garage to move. She asked me for all the items in my house and as I was explaining all my items she laughed and told me that I did not have to give her that much detail. She told me that it would take about 8 hours (give or take a few hours) and that the "movers will not leave that day until the job is complete" On the day of the move they brought too few men and too small of a truck for my house. They had to come back a second and third day and had he nerve to charge me for a travel fee and truck fee for day 2 and day three even though they did a horrific underestimation of my move or they purposely did a "bait-and-switch" giving me a low ball estimate, just to get the job and then they knew they had me when they came out, because I would be at their mercy. I am disputing the unethical charges of the truck and travel fees from day 2 and 3 which came out to $555. We picked up and paid for lunch for the workers each day and gave very generous tips, in the hopes of motivating them to move faster, but our incentives and kindness went unnoticed with the workers (especially on days 1 and 2) working incredibly slow, more so when we were not there (as my painters and sump pump installers told me when we came back) I would never recommend this company even to my worst enemy. Go check out the complaints on the BBB's website. Most are unresolved, showing the owner does not care to satisfy his clients when problems arise.
