My wife has been taking her cars to Craig for many years and he has done excellent work on them, in the past. I know that they are more expensive than the 'quick' oil change stores, but her car was getting poor gas mileage, so I figured we'd take it to someone that my wife trusted.
Unfortunately, I was flabbergasted when my wife showed me the $75 bill...$29.95 for the oil/filter and $35 to rotate the tires, plus a charge for the windshield washer fluid. Seriously, $35 for a tire rotation??? (Monro does it for FREE when they change the oil, for 1/3 the price).
BTW, they recommended using their ethanol-free gas to increase the gas mileage. I don't know if it's worth spending the additional 50+ cents a gallon for the gas plus the 20+ miles to get there and back home. Maybe I should spend that extra money for a fuel additive,every fill-up, instead. After all, the car is only 7 years old, with 34,000 miles on it.
Sorry, Craig. You are a nice guy and a great auto mechanic, but your prices for minor services are outrageous!

My daughter managed to back her Honda Accord into a stone wall and caused the rear bumper panel to pop out where it joins the quarter panel. I took the car to the Pittsford Exxon Service Center and asked them if they could fix it. One of their mechanics came out and managed to pop the bumper back in place. I was afraid I would be buying a new bumper, but instead walked away without paying a dime. They said that since I was regular customer they wouldn't charge me anything to fix it. They've got a loyal customer for life
