Quite well - the contractor is a very easy guy to work with, was willing to cut us a break on the price if I worked with him on several parts of the project and overall the quality was quite good. He spent a long time drafting ideas, suggesting alternatives, being patient as we second guessed ourselves in the drafting process, etc.
We're a little disappointed with the paint job quality - would have professional painters do that portion of the work. The carpet stretching initially wasn't perfect, but was fixed. One of the internet sockets doesn't work - but it isn't a problem since my wife's computer is WiFi.

The project was very close to on-budget (with the exception of the the
framing repair which was unexpected), took 50% longer than expected but
overall we love the space that was created.

He is very easy to work with and has came up with a variety of solutions. I am very impressed with him. I have only paid them a small deposit thus far. They are coming to start next week.
